I went to Dr. Collins as a new resident of Montreal, and had no clue for what a great experience I was in for. I had previously gone to a dentist in Chicago and knew that I needed a crown on a tooth that had previously undergone a root canal. Dr. Collins is by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. He made sure to make me feel comfortable and was very aware of how anxious I was about the procedure. He talked to me about all my options, never pressured me and took the procedure at a slower pace that I could handle. His office is gorgeous, and has a panoramic view of Mt. Royal and the canal. It is located on the 9th floor of the Transat Tower which is across the street from Parc Jeanne Mance and Parc Mount Royal. What a view! Completely different than most dentist offices, which resemble dungeons more than anything else. He put on a movie for me to watch while he was doing the procedure, it definitely helped me take my mind off of everything and eased my anxiety. His assistant was super sweet and chatted with me before and after, making me feel comfortable and not worried. I'm sooooooo glad I somehow found Dr. Collins, he made the whole experience painless in every way.

I have been a very happy patient of Dr Dobby's for about 17 years. I was referred to his clinic by…read morea family friend after explaining that I had a terrible phobia of dentists. (It was so bad at the time that I avoided the dentist until it was dire, and would be anxiety ridden before, and during any session). After meeting him for an initial check up and cleaning, I was so comfortable I went ahead and some small procedures done (like changing some old fillings from silver to white), each time I felt better and more at ease with the process and my phobia disappeared. I have been a regular patient twice a year for cleanings ever since. Over time he has taken me through 2 new crowns, a few fillings, a route canal (see Dr Katz review), and whitening treatment. I have to admit that he has not had to do too much in the way of work, because the maintenance program we have is so good. His entire staff including his most valuable asset (Mary-Jane who is his receptionist) and the various hygienists I have had make going to the dentist a pleasant experience. I know this sounds crazy coming from someone who feared dentist, but knowing your taking care of your health, and that those assisting you are so sincere does just that. I have and will continue to send him new patients (I have at least 6-7 people now seeing him), so if your looking for a new dentist, give Mary Jane a call, letting her know you read Val's review, and you too can discover the joys of a peaceful dentist appointment.

He was considerate to my preferences (I asked for local anesthesia). He establishes comfortable verbal connection during the procedure (we chatted while he wasn't working on my tooth). The result is very good. My sister lives abroad, and is a dentist, so when I visited her (half year later) she confirmed, the repair was done very well. I recommend this clinic.

She made sure our visits were pain-free and about as close to fun as you can get at a dentist. Last summer I visited Denticare for the first time. The filling in my tooth # 36 on the lower jaw…read morewas cracked, and I went in to get it repaired. I had no pain, no infection, and my face was neither swollen nor disfigured. Dr Fereidoun Harandian's assistant before he came into the room to see me and to speak to me, started taking X-rays and photos of my teeth one by one, as well as a panoramic X-ray. I explained to the assistant that I only wanted to repair one tooth. She said that it was mandatory to take X-rays of all my teeth. When Dr Fereidoun Harandian entered the room, he showed me the photos and told me that several teeth needed repair. He found 14 teeth that needed repair and gave me a cost estimate of $2,643.00. The examination and X-rays cost me $285. He said he would fill the tooth and gave an estimate of $283.00 for tooth #36. I had warned him of my insurance limit which was $2000 at that time and asked him to keep the cost within the limit of the insurance as I was not able to pay from pocket if the tooth repair exceeded that amount. On August 14, he began the dental work. He repaired three other teeth which were not at all urgent in addition to tooth #36. He drilled tooth #36 too deeply and made a hole in the pulp and then filled the tooth. At the end of the operation, while I was still under the effect of anesthesia and in front of his assistant, who was a witness, he told me he saw blood coming from the pulp and that I should return to him for a root canal. He said that my tooth would be sensitive to hot and cold for several weeks and scheduled a root canal for September 23. Shortly after the August 14th visit, the injury to the root of my tooth caused severe pain, infection, and swelling of my face. Because of intense pain and infection, I canceled the appointment for September 23rd. I had completely lost faith in him and refused to allow him to perform any further operations on me. Dr Harandian repaired four teeth and billed my insurance company for a dental procedure that was misdiagnosed and performed at a cost higher than the initial estimate ($403). Why didn't he send me for a root canal treatment if the tooth decay was too deep? Hadn't he charged me for a full exam already? I wrote to him twice, while suffering from intense pain, and asked him to reimburse my insurance company for the $403 which he had billed me for the botched work done on tooth #36 so that I could get a root canal treatment. He refused to reimburse my insurance company and to help me receive the urgent treatment I needed. I suffered for months until I was able to save enough money to go and get a root canal with the endodontist whom I knew and trusted. The experience at the Denticare inc has been a nightmare which has lasted up to this day. I wish I had never set foot inside that clinic. I cannot count the number of times I blamed myself for choosing Dr Fereidoun Harandian as a dentist. After having read about patients who had been hurt on https://citoyens.soquij.qc.ca/, I realize that I was not the only one who had suffered. Next time I will be a lot more vigilant when choosing a dentist. and conduct a complete background check of the dentist.

I had a large amalgam filling changed out on April 1st and am pleased and relieved to report that he is the gentlest dentist that I've ever had. It took barely an hour to replace the filling and the entire procedure was painless. He was calm as he worked which helped me calm down, and his assistant was a Pro with the suction tube. Not once did I have to gargle and gasp to bring attention to rising "water levels". So now I have a fabulous new white tooth where the dull grey one was and I'm no longer self-conscious about smiling. Change is good, but not too much at one time so I love the fact that Dr. Seminara kept Dr. Dobby's old crew. Yay!

Young, professional, fun, competent and honest McGill graduate. Takes children too and uses the RAMQ cover if no private insurance. Lets parents inside with their child during entire appointment. Very honest, explains every procedure in detail, takes photos and applies newest dental medicine. Has wonderful approach to young patients, makes jokes and accommodates the patient according to need (my son required being warned prior to the local anesthesia and all his needs were met, no surprises, I suggest -discuss a sign for pain prior to beginning). Perfect job on 5 very complex cavities in only 2 appointments! , preventive space maintainer in place too. I thought that not having nitrous oxide (laughing gas) would be a reason for my child to request another clinic. He does not even want to hear about it. His words were " I like Dr Kennedy and am keeping him as my dentist for life, for me and my future children". Big thank you, Dr Kennedy!
