I don't know how they are running the clinic, but half of the time, either doctor is missing, and if you catch him for treatment, he will give you an appointment or give you unnecessarily confusing information. I cannot find a family doctor but taking him as my family doctor was the biggest mistake of my life.

If you were to search online for travel testing (i.e. COVID-19 PCR testing for the purposes of…read moreinternational travel) you would quickly discover that it's a bit of an expensive endeavor. Many testing locations (e.g. Trillium Health, Switch Health, etc.) charge $180 (CAD), while pharmacies (like Rexall) charge $200 (CAD) per test. My understanding is that it doesn't make a difference if you have OHIP; at the time of me writing this review, anyone wanting to travel outside of Canada is required to have a negative PCR test (within 72 hours of departure), and travel testing isn't covered by OHIP. Which makes sense if the point is to discourage travel. Knowing this changed nothing for me, because I'm a Canadian living in America, and I needed to get my family back home. While considering alternatives to spending approximately $600 (CAD) on PCR testing (for three people), I came across the Waterloo Clinic. They offered PCR testing for $60 (CAD) a person. I called them twice to confirm because I figured they had either misspoke, or I had misheard. A part of me wondered if it was something kinda scammy, so I looked up the Waterloo Clinic, and it was a real clinic. The clientele seems to be primarily Internationals (students or otherwise), which explained the lower cost. The Waterloo Clinic staff specified that they couldn't guarantee that the results would be provided within 48-72 hours, but the cost savings (of $420 CAD) was enough to justify the risk. So we took a road-trip from Mississauga on a Monday, and crossed our fingers that we would get the results before our flight on Wednesday. After we arrived, the whole thing took maybe 15 minutes for three people to get tested. The testing throughput process is relatively straightforward: (1) schedule the appointment in advance, (2) arrive on time, (3) fill out some documentation, (4) pay for your test(s), (5) get that super long swab shoved up your nostrils until it tickles your brain, (6) receive instructions on how to get the results, (7) get your results by email, then (8a) breathe a sigh of relief when you see the words "NOT detected" OR (8b) curse under your breath when you see the words "Positive" Also, we ended up getting our PCR test results in just under 24 hours. While the staff emphasized that they couldn't make any guarantees, I appreciated that they turned it around quickly enough to give us peace of mind about locking down our travel plans for the next day. The final cost was $142 (USD). The whole experience was ::chef's kiss::
