At 4:00 PM, I realized I was dealing with scammers. I called Quick Move at around 4:30 PM and explained my situation. Eli asked me when I would like to move. I told him as soon as possible and he said do you want us to come over tonight? I told him tomorrow morning would be fine. Quick move showed up at my house at 9 AM with three trucks and four guys to load my stuff up. They had everything out of my house and back in my new house within six hours. I would highly recommend these guys. They were very neat, polite, and did an excellent job. They got me out of a bad situation.

We have had company moves, overseas moves, and sometimes moved ourselves in a U-Haul. The most efficient way in our vast experience, is not to load the truck until all items are checked off and sitting on the driveway, which was the way Mayflower did things decades ago. Apparently this crew was trained to take items straight into the truck and fit them in as best they could, so they had to partially unload and reload the truck because their packing space was quite limited compared to what their boss allotted for. Poor communication and planning, inefficiency all caused by the owner PLUS lack of coordination topped off by shouting rudeness and maltreatment in the end by the owner... it all adds up to a "never-again" pledge for this senior citizen. I paid 30% higher than I expected from the original quote and they left me frazzled.

I had to call few times to find out when shipment would be delivered. Upon getting the shipment I found out they didn't handle the shipment correctly. Most of the boxes marked Fragile were broken and were put at the bottom of the pile. I was really surprised to see plastic tote marked fragile was smashed and broken. I had a lot of damage to my shipment overall besides being delayed by a week.

I sent over a list of items that I needed moved, & Simlog was able to provide me with an estimated flat rate. The estimated flat rate was my biggest deciding factor because I've felt that previous moving companies tend to draw out the time since they charge on an hourly basis. In addition, Simlog also gave me a 20% discount as a first time customer. The movers were great about taking care of my furniture & being respectful of the walls & flooring in both my new house & my old house. I had most of my boxes packed, but the movers did a great job with packing the "odds & ends" items that were not packed.
