We had a complicated local move that required AJC to go to a friend's house in Independence to pick up a couch, then to my boyfriend's in KCMO to load up his 1 bedroom then to my 1-bedroom Plaza apartment and finally to our new 5-bedroom, 3-story house in South Hyde Park! They were very professional, respectful, and flexible (we underestimated on our end how much furniture we collectively had (we originally asked to move large items only but ended up asking for smaller items to be included too) so they had to make last-minute calls on what they could/should move in our reserved time. I thought they did a great job navigating all that. Though we didn't get it ALL done in our 3 hours, this was NOT their fault; it was due to our last-minute changes. The two movers worked VERY diligently and efficiently the entire 3 hours to move as much as they possibly could while navigating a tiny apartment elevator and many many stairs! Absolutely the best! First time going onto yelp asking for help and was a bit nervous not knowing how yelp worked and having to hire someone for the first time, but these guys explained everything thoroughly and were super welcoming. Expected this project to be 3+ hours but they were able to finish everything in an hour and a half. I had needed to cut a storage space in half and they organized everything beautifully and user friendly so when I eventually go through everything, its easy to navigate. I was even shocked to hear none of the boxes broke as they weren't in the best shape. But Zack and Ryan were able to keep them safe! So happy and relieved to have had this work done. The guys at American Junk Collective were AWESOME when we moved last month. They switched appliances between the two houses including disconnecting and reconnecting everything. The crew placed furnishings exactly where we requested with a friendly, Whistle While You Work mind set. These guys were the hardest working men I have seen in a long time. Totally professional and very careful with the pickup and delivery. Masks were worn the entire time and very careful with distancing. I have had many moves in my time, but this was by far the quickest and stress free experience I have had. Excellent work! Everything was moved smoothly and quickly, all without any issue. AJC loaded securely my belongings into a truck for me to drive across the country, and nothing shifted before we were ready to unload in the new city.
