There was a decent-sized crowd for mid-afternoon, mid-week, but we were seen to quickly and our food came out in good time as well. My steak and Guinness meat pie came out scorching hot and I endured some mild mouth burns in my hunger, but it was worth it. The rich and hearty sauce, tender chunks of beef and a crisp crust made for a great lunch. We also shared a decent, by-the-numbers Greek salad to get some veg content. There's plenty of parking in behind the cafe, so don't let its location worry you, drivers. The place is small so it fills up fast. No street parking. Use their driveway to access parking in the back. There is also a back entrance off the back deck. Door is clearly marked 'entrance'. The staff was friendly and while it's an old converted house, it does look like they try to keep it maintained. The only one complaint would be the washroom. It's obvious one of the staff use it to smoke in because it smells of cigarillos even with the door open and the fan running.

There was a lot of outdoor seating, a picnic table under a gazebo and a large patio overlooking the water. There was a full wheelchair ramp that went into the cafe and also right to the patio. The woman working there was lovely. She told me that there were more treats that she was still putting out in the showcase and to tell her what we wanted based on the tags. A butter tart square (that looked mass produced, like you can buy lots of places across the country) for my husband. A chocolate peanut butter swirl for me - which turned out to be a homemade chocolate peanut butter snack cake with icing. I was pretty happy with my choice. :)
