Wonderful acoustics, yes; but for whom? Because of its amphitheatre seating plan, there are very, very few well-sited seats. Most seats are to the side and high under the roof. There is no foyer, just a cramped corridor lined with inadequate toilets for which patrons queue throughout the interval. Horrible! There is no bar. All in all, the H aux G is an awful place and Toulouse, a musical city for decades, deserves better.

The building that the museum is located in is lovely, with plenty of art pieces displayed outside. I was only able to peruse part of the museum, as an area was closed on the day that I visited. Of the exhibits that I viewed, I thought they were not to my liking. Contemporary art is more subjective and more prone to criticism. There are some visual art pieces that I viewed that seemed odd and did not appeal to my tastes. Looking online, it seems like the museum changes exhibitions frequently, so this may be more a dislike for a certain artist's work rather than for the museum itself. I would consider visiting again if there was an exhibition that I was interested in.

There are gardens outside and a library area for anyone to enter for free. There is also free wifi for everyone. During my visit, there was a special kids exhibit featuring a cartoon character popular in France. It was adorable.

The downside is that there is still a majority of the elements which are in french but they have put a lot of effort into including the same details in English. So if you have a young family or there is some bad weather I would suggest visiting the Museum Toulouse and if the weather is good there is a great outdoor botanical garden to explore. The price is reasonable and they offer discounts for a majority of travellers (students, teachers...) but the 9 euro entry fee was still reasonable for full priced adult ticket. Please not that the museum is commonly referred to as Museum Toulouse.

Entrance is free for students!…read more I was really impressed with the works and sculptures here. The second floor was closed due to renovations but it was still a very enjoyable visit. To compensate, I was offered entry to the temporary exhibit: Toulouse Renaissance. They have this very lovely outside area in the middle of the museum and I spent lots of time in the sun surrounded by flowers and people. It's bigger than Fondation Bemberg but also newer. So it's completely different styles. I'd say if you have children, take them here or the national museum. The visit took me about 1 hour and a half.
