Michel went well above and beyond what I hired her for and exceeded my expectations. I'm extremely organized and thought I had everything covered but she thought of things that I never would have due to her extensive experience in the events industry and meticulous attention to detail. We were in constant contact with phone calls and emails for months leading up to the event. She had everything so well planned that I did not need to worry about a thing leading up to the wedding and on the day of the wedding I was completely stress-free thanks to her and her assistant, which is truly priceless. Michel is one of the best professionals I've ever worked with and I am recommending her to all my closest friends and family! Not only is she a great event planner but also she is a fun and outgoing person to work with whom by the end of the process felt like a friend. She always stayed on top of details and managed our vendors very well. There were no issues during our wedding (December 2013) - Her confident and practical attitude. Giving up freedom is really a challenge and we trusted her with many tasks we weren't around to review. She showed up to our first meeting and drew out ideas in her mind immediately as if she had already worked with the venue (she hadn't!). The wedding location was remote for both of us, but she still managed to scope out all the events like it was next door. - All her input was constructive. It never felt like we were compromising our vision of a perfect wedding for US and everything she suggested only embellished/refined our ideas. - She recognized it was OUR day. It's easy to get caught up in the mentality of every effort for the sake of entertaining guests. We had a large wedding (over 200 people) and a very large vendor team, she handled all the details seamlessly. On the wedding day itself, everything ran very smoothly and we were care free. Her day of team was wonderful! We even forgot to pick up some of our desserts and one of her team members ran out during the wedding to get it for us! The entire event felt thoughtful, beautiful, and incredibly well executed. So many of our guests commented on it being one of the best weddings they ever attended. As two gay men getting married, we knew from the start that we wanted a woman to be our wedding…read moreofficiant - and when a good friend of ours referred us to Kristin Cusenbary and Seaside Ceremonies, we knew we'd found the right person to help us tie the know on our special day. Over a series of months, we met via Zoom with Kristin, with her really getting to know the two of us in a very special way. Kristin made us feel at ease, and via a detailed questionnaire that each of us filled out separately, she was able to craft a memorable and very meaningful ceremony script for the wedding day. Without having ever met her in person, we got a great feeling from Kristin - and when the day came that she delivered our actual ceremony script, we were equal parts excited / scared / anxious - all rolled into one. We opened up her email and read what she had written - and we literally had to stop multiple times to wipe away the tears from our eyes. She got everything so perfect - from tiny details we'd included in our questionnaires to things we'd mentioned in passing to her via zoom and emails. She wove the story of our love together so beautifully and we knew immediately that the ceremony would be deeply moving for our guests. We made a few minor tweaks to what she'd written, but overall she'd done an amazing job. Kristin joined us on the day of our rehearsal, truly the first time we'd met her face to face. At this point, she knew us intimately, and helped to soothe our fears and put us at ease. On the day of the wedding, we were calm and cool ... until it came time to actually walk down the aisle. But at the end, there stood Kristin, ready to take us to the next chapter! And while it mattered not in the least, Kristin is gorgeous - and her radiant smile welcomed us like an old friend. The script she had written was perhaps a little longer than others - but it was filled with love and told our story in a magical and wonderful way - bringing both tears and laughter to our friends and family who joined us. Kristin was a pro - helping those in our wedding party, working with our wedding planner and the musicians - making everything seamless and stress-free on our wedding day. Before we knew it, the ceremony was done and Kristin took care of the details of our marriage license. And before she left, we managed to get a few photos with her - and gave her our thanks. The ceremony that she wrote for us is something we'll treasure forever. We have those beautiful words to look back on - to reflect on - and we couldn't have been more pleased with all that she brought to the most special day of our lives together. Kevin was incredibly professional, organized, and responsive. He happily learned the songs that we requested for our wedding ceremony (I Choose You by Sara Bareilles, Boom Clap by Charli XCX, and Dawn from the Pride & Prejudice soundtrack) and they came out beautifully! He played for 30 minutes prior to our ceremony start time to keep our guests entertained. I got to overhear a bit of it as we returned from pre-ceremony photos and the music was absolutely enchanting! He also played for our processional and recessional. It was so fun to have live music! Kevin also played a fantastic medley for our cocktail hour. He played classics and well as piano covers of pop songs. I'm quite the Taylor Swift lover and he made sure to incorporate lots of TSwift songs for me :) I would highly recommend working with Kevin!
