No giant needle. No numbing half the face. His bedside manor was great. The extraction was $60. A bit more than some other Mexican dentists, but he's far better than even most American dentists. I almost took a star off the rating over the $2000 price of an implant for me, but it's still less than an implant in America and American insurance will reimburse. They did for the extraction. I haven't gotten the implant yet (still saving for it), but I plan to soon.

He also spotted a small crack in an old amalgam filling that he repaired with resin. He was very professional and genuinely friendly. He answered all my questions and I never felt at all rushed. I then had my teeth cleaned and it was just excellent. The clinic is only a five minute walk from the border. It's not a jam-packed operation with dozens of staff and scores of patients. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. Everything is clean and everything I mentioned above was done for $150. In the U.S., I'm guessing I would have paid about $450 (Or I would have been sold a root canal.)

The form confirms X-rays completed in last 6 months and has a yes or no check box indicating no active infections. Had X-rays and a teeth cleaning on May 1st and then came back on May 22nd with the understanding this form would be take care of. See email below From Dental Laser: Hello Angie, I spoke with the doctors involved in your treatments, Dr Angelica told me that the responsible for the authorization form for your surgery will be Dr Sanchez; he wants to see you in order to fill out the form, we can move your appointment with him on 5/22 from 10 to 9:30 so he can have more time Ivan S. Dental Laser Nogales, Customer Care Specialist On May 22nd Dr Sanchez was unwilling to complete this form telling me that this can only be done by a specialist. I spoke to the office manager Jose and he told me all specialists were busy. Dr Sanchez agreed that I have no infections but wasn't comfortable checking the "no" box on the form. (!!??) Dental Laser is not confident enough to stand by their dental evaluations. I would not had make a trip to Nogales from Tucson if Dental Laser was honest when I asked about having this form completed. Dental Laser should have just stated we cannot complete the form instead of leading me on. Now I had to spend $100 to see another dentist in Tucson and take time off work. When my husband left the dental office he accidentally left his denim work shirt in the cleaning room. As soon as he came home, he mentioned he left his shirt there. He went back the next day at about 11:15am and the clinic was closed which seemed strange since the hours posted on the door don't indicate a lunch hour. He then went back there the following week and, the shirt was not there - hmmmmm..... So, cleaning was OK but, don't leave your valuables at this office!
