When our Jeep was totaled our insurance (Geico) offered us what we considered to be a very low pay out for it. There was no way that we would be able to replace of vehicle with a comparable vehicle. We disputed the amount and the final amount was still well below comparable vehicles that we found. We ended up invoking the appraisal clause and Kenny helped us with this process. When my vehicle was deemed a total loss, I was told by the claims adjuster that my car was worth $x,xxx.xx. I was told beforehand from another person that I should do my own research and push back if I was not happy with the offer. So because of that, I did my own research. I was unable to find similar vehicles (same model, options, miles) to what I had owned. The only cars that came back in my searches were of base (lower) models with less options and higher miles that sold for more than what my insurance company was offering me. I was told by the claims rep that if I was unhappy with the offer, I should hire a private adjuster but that would cost me $$$. I figured that I'll call around and get some quotes. I Googled a bit and found Certified Automobile Appraisal, LLC. I sent an email to Mike and he replied in a timely manner. He walked me through the process and told me that it would take about a week to finalize everything. He also quoted a charge of less than half of that the claims rep had told me. I agreed and the work started. Mike went out to the collision center and looked over the damage as well as did the research. Throughout the process, he contacted me regularly to let me know where we were at in terms of completion. About a week later, he called to inform me that he and my insurance company settled on a fair price. Because of the work that Mike put in, I received $yy,yyy.yy instead of the original $x,xxx.xx that was offered. I was in the process of purchasing a '66 Chevelle SS as a Muscle Car from a Michigan seller but I live in California. I could't fly to Michigan so I asked for a good appraisal service to look over the car. I was referred to Certified Automobile Appraisal and Mike Moore. Mike called me on the phone and assured me he would give the car a thorough go over. Mike called me back after that go over with information on the car along with emailing me the results of the find. He gave it high marks. I purchased the car due to his appraisal. When I had the car transported to my house they could't even get the car to back out of the transporter. That was my first clue that Mike never drove the car like he said he had. It would not back up due to the reverse was installed backwards. It also made a tremendous noise when turning the steering wheel. Just these two things would have alerted anyone that had made a driving test. I was very disappointed in the appraisal by Mike. It seemed like he was in cahoots with the place I bought the car from. I lost all respect and am mad at myself for buying a car that I never took a road test in. In September 2014 I totaled my brand new F150 and the insurance company (Progressive) deemed it a total loss. Not having been in an accident or filing a claim before, I wasn't sure what to expect in the process. I found out quickly that it wasnt going to be fun, or fair to me when the insurance told me what they were willing to pay me for my truck. The truck was 3 months old, had 7,000 miles on it and lets just say the amount that they wanted to give me for it was a huge slap in the face compared to what I just paid for it 3 months ago. I argued, provided all sorts of documentation that they requested and jumped thru all the hoops they put me thru. I was extremely frustrated, felt taken advantage of and betrayed by my insurance company. Finally the last option I had was get my own appraiser, the insurance company would get their appraiser and they would come to an agreement on what the value of the truck was worth. I got on the internet to find a company and Certified Automobile Appraisal came up and I called them right away. Again being a situation I had never dealt with before I was skeptical, however after just a few minutes of talking with Mike, I knew I was in good hands. Mike kept me updated the whole time and worked on my behalf with the insurance company so I didn't have to. I finally had some help in battling the insurance company and needless to say that was a huge relief. Mike was extremely professional, very informative and got me what my truck was actually worth!! He was an absolute pleasure to work with and Im very thankful that all it took was a quick internet search to find them and help me put an end to the unfortunate nightmare of a situation.
