OUTSTANDING TAPAS!!! Nice and friendly waiters!…read more
I am always skeptical about going out for tapas in Alicante: the city is well known for the beach and the sun, not for the food... but oh man! This place really surprised me! I am still in love with the anchovies marinated in vinegar over baked potatoes ("boquerones en vinagre"): A MUST!!! I also tried the "cold potato salad with hake ("ensaladilla de merluza"), and it was SUPERB! I also tried other tapas, but these two were unforgettable.
By the way, I am also skeptical about Alicante wines, but tried the house red wine from Alicante: another pleasant surprise.
We paid 20€ for 3 tapas and four drinks, which I think is totally affordable.
The waiters are super friendly and nice. By the way, on Fridays and Saturdays the place is crowded... if you want a quiet dinner there, weekdays are better.
