I booked this experience through AirBnb Experiences (highly recommend checking the experiences in any city where you're traveling). When scrolling through the options this caught my eye as I am a big fan of low-intervention (aka natural) wines and Al Sur carries some Spanish wines I've enjoyed here in the states (shout-out to Golden Hour Wine in Orlando!). The shop is on Elvira Street and surrounded by small Middle Eastern restaurants. We loved the walk to the shop. Once there, Jessica greeted us and we sat at a large communal table to start our tasting experience. Jessica was a WONDERFUL host and the wine and bites we tried were some of our favorites on our entire trip. This tasting was a true highlight and I'd HIGHLY recommend it. They also have other great tasting experiences with various types of local food. One thing you must get if you're there is their locally-sourced butter. This butter was unlike anything I've ever tried before. It almost tasted of yogurt. I wish we would have been able to bring some home to the States, but while we were there we made sure to have plenty of it! Guillermo was at the counter and also helped us with some purchases of olive oil and pastries after the tasting. Overall, this is a spot that cannot be missed on your next Andalucian trip. It created memories we'll hold on to forever! (And we had some really great wine!!)

You can eat indoors at the diner-style counter or take your food to go at one of the benches in the square and people watch. Like a bar, staff will greet you first come first serve and ask for your order. You can point at what you want from the display case if you're not sure what things are and they'll patiently wait for you to make up your mind (unless it's busy). They also have some yardsale type clothing for 5 Euro a piece, but shop carefully some of them have holes or stains! Back to the pastries!! They were SO good, seriously delicious. After we went back to our Airbnb and I had my first bite, I decided I HAD to go back tomorrow. They do not speak English, but my broken Spanish worked fine .. ( I took French in school). They're very kind and friendly -- have a nice espresso for breakfast with traditional bread + tomato -- such a great way to start the day. All the desserts are delicious, I don't think you can go wrong here!
