A feel some disappointment, as all the good reviews made this place seem like a great spot. Id say…read moreits a huge hit or miss with the food and drinks they serve.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn that was a 4 minute walk from this establishment. theres an Oxxo along the way, so it was a great destination for dinner and grabbing essentials. Go for an outdoor table. The inside rooms look depressing like a yellow prison at night time.
We were there during happy hour, so we got two margaritas even though we ordered one. As simple as it was, it really hit the spot! Bright, fresh, and the right amount of salt.
The Ribeye Chicharron was pretty good, although it could have been more tender. Its not chewy by any means, but its also not as soft as it could have been. Feels like they repurpose their ribeye scraps for this dish. Also no need to order guacamole, as they give you a mountain of avocado in this dish.
The Octopus tostada was pretty good. They cooked the pulpo just right. They add tons of veggies on top so theres a lot of different flavors and textures in this one. The tostada itself holds up pretty well in its crunchiness.
Cochinta pibil tacos were good, but Ive had better cochinta throughout my trip. The seasoning and flavor wasnt as bold as other places have served it.
The sour pork was OK, but I couldnt help feeling it could have had more flavor. This was more like a orange glazed salad, with pork thrown in the mix. Its not bad, but it wasnt what I was expecting.
That watery horchata was the worst horchata I had the entire trip. It barely had any rice or cinnamon flavor after two sips. Completely skip this.
