Projects were two to three months out and Rock Bottom don't like to commit to an install date till the projected installation month comes around on the calendar. So adjust your expectations accordingly, after making your 50% deposit thing will go quiet for a while. I did not obtain references for Rock Bottoms work so I was very concerned with what sort of workmanship I would receive. Sure enough when the two stage install process took place the quality of the materials and the precision with which they were installed made it clear to me this was one professional outfit. A two man crew put in the posts, Tyler and partner. Then Tim came along a few days later to complete the project with his teammate (Brian?). These guys were courteous, and their work was HIGHLY detailed. This includes the military precision with which Tyler and buddy got those posts to line up. I'm absolutely delighted with Rock Bottom fencing. Even the pricing was competitive so it was all around a five star experience for me.

We received our bid on 4/18 and today is 8/14, so almost four months. Not sure if it's standard, but it was two different crews on the two different days. Everyone was very polite and professional. However, there were things miscommunicated and not communicated. The ONLY reason we got a new fence was to keep our dogs contained. We did not know that there would be a 4 inch gap under most sections of our new fence. Viking came out today to finish the job and added 5 boards to the bottom of 5 of the panels. My husband is going to finish the other gaps, because at this point we just want to be done. If I thought our dogs were secure in our backyard with this new fence, I wouldn't be petty and mention the three very long nails left in our driveway or our busted planter box that was left next to the fence. Those are the boards sticking straight up in the picture. Part of this disappointment is on us, since this is our first fence purchase we didn't know all of the questions we needed to ask.

We had a fairly large project involving different fence types, four different gates, and also…read morelogistically difficult due to our hill and delicate plants. We worked with Jacob to make a plan and work out details and needs. Jacob assured us the plants would be avoided as best as possible, and went over what should be moved or tied back to help ensure they were protected. Inevitably a couple of plants were just too in the way, but overall the team took lots of care around them. There was a little delay with the posts we went with and Jacob communicated wonderfully about this, and worked to get us in immediately once the posts were finished with the fabricator. Cristian led the work crew and was an excellent communicator throughout. We ran into a couple of underground wires that were not properly marked by the marking company, he was extremely remorseful and one of the guys ran out to get parts immediately to put in a temporary fix. Again, this was not their fault, yet they took responsibility. The team worked hard for several days, always communicating what was happening. They were respectful, and not loud (except for power tools as needed). The project made a bit of a mess, I was a little worried about clean up, but Cristian assured me they would be doing a full clean up once the project concluded. They did such a great job cleaning up!
