They do sell a good selection of games for all consoles although they don't seem to stock some older games with it being mostly chart stuff. It's also always full of kids barging in front of you to get to the games. They do part exchanges for games but the deal isn't very good.

It offers a fairly decent range of games for PS3 and XBOX 360 at decent prices - the slightly older releases are really cheap. The pre-owned games are ridiculously cheap. The shop is fairly basic, but they offer a good range of services, including: consoles, repairs and second hand. They also offer 30 minute disc repair - fixing CDs and DVDs that have got scratched. You can pre-order new release games from their website, avoiding the chain store madness. I'd recommend this place for any Old Hill and Cradley Heath gamers who tend to shop at Merry Hill's chainstores - you'll get better value and better service.

They buy and sell used games, selections not as good as the chains but the prices are better, and im sure everyone has a game in their collection with a golden playstation centre sticker over the barcode. Really current and well stocked, they fix machines and disks. Its always been just a few guys running it and they love playing and chatting about games. This store in the middle of the city centre is the biggest out of the two here. It has multiple titles for all platforms. Prices are usually competitive, but could be found cheaper occasionally by a few ££ if you search the web. But it means waiting for it to be delivered. You can also buy UMD movies and a small amount of Blue ray Dvds too. The staff are usually quite helpful, b ut you get much better customer service from the game store at the ricoh arena shopping park. They have a second hand section with titles from all platforms, which is a great thing. But some of the prices are only £2-£4 cheaper than the game brand new. I thought the point of selling second hand games was to make them cheaper?? Correct me if im wrong. A few of moans i will give about the game franchise is the fact they no longer have the following : 1) 28 days refund policy. Where by you would buy a game, eagerly get home to play it and find out how crap it was. You could then take it back for a full refund or buy another game. This policy has been removed, which is a shame. 2) The old school games section. No longer do they sell games for retired games machines such as the SNES, Megadrive, Game gear. To buy these you have to go elsewhere, or search the internet. 3) The shop seems crowded, with little room to move between stands and people! It's a good job we have Entertainment World in Birmingham, because it fills the gap of selling those long sought after Playstation, Megadrive and Nintento games that you never managed to buy the first time around, because you were too young, or you weren't even born, or you majorly regretted trading them in. (Of course, Game and Gamestation don't fill this gap, and only sold modern console games.) Entertainment World is like heaven to the gaming geek, and now with a second shop opened at the Custard Factory called Retro-World, it seems as though places like this are here to stay. Hurray! The staff inside are very friendly and knowledgeable, and they'll help you out as much as possible: so never fear to ask them a question. I bought Echo the Dolphin from here for £10 on Megadrive. They did, fortunately, more expensive than on-line, but I appreciated that they were a smaller store and therefore didn't have the financial clout to force the price down. They have a lot of games, mainly for the latest consoles, but they do have a range of old games for recent but superseded PS2s and such. So, with FIFA bought I could rest satisfied that I would be able to give it to my lil' cousin on his Birthday - one of the benefits of having a local gaming store I suppose.

For those unfamiliar, it's a bit like Cash Converters but focuses mostly on DVDs, computer games, mobile phones and other small electro-gadgets (iPods etc.) For those unfamiliar with Cash Converters, CeX is basically a great shop rammed full of cheap, pre-owned DVDs etc. There's loads of bargains to be had, such as series (I try not to say 'season', damn Americanisms!) box sets of things like 24 and Family Guy for between £6 and a tenner. I'm pathalogically bad at computer games that came out after Donkey Kong 64, so I couldn't tell you much about what games they've got, but there's a lot of them. The selection of films they stock, considering they're all pre-owned is vast - everything from blockbusters to obscurities. There's also a membership scheme in the form of a small key fob which lets you exchange goods. Before this place there was practically nowhere to buy DVDs in West Brom, certainly nowhere dedicated. Now all it needs is a bookshop and a proper record shop.
