I gave up and took my laptop and my problem to Peter at "PC Clinic". I don't think I could have made a better decision. Peter had to do battle with robots and human agents. This went on for a number of days with time spent answering the same questions and explaining, in the simplest terms, the problem I was having. Peter persevered and finally I received a phone call from someone higher up my supplier chain with a brain and in 5 minutes problem solved and back online. I think Peter went above and beyond in his efforts to solve my problem. He not only solved my problem but also gave me advice on browser choice and my computer security and lots of general information around care and use of my computer. I cannot praise Peter enough. He has a friendly approach to the customer, he is very knowledgeable, nothing seems to be too much trouble. In my opinion he gives value for money. So, would I recommend PC Clinic? 200% YES. I've been doing business with UCS for some years now and so far they've been consistent in quality and I'll continue to get my repairs done there! Recommended if you are in the Wolverhampton area.

I took it to PC World (the only PC shop I was aware of in the area when I first arrived) and it took them about 7 weeks to get it back to me - without either of the problems fixed (don't ask!). I've used them ever since for things like data recovery on my memory sticks and the service has always been spot on. It's pretty big with students I believe as the prices are low and the turn-around times are very quick which is important when you have assignment deadlines round the corner!

Video games are expensive, yet we still buy them again and again. Cex also offers a wide range in older games consoles and their games. If you are fed up of the next generation machines, then come along to Cex and buy a Gamecube or a PS2. The games range from 3-10 pounds, a much cheaper option than buying brand new cutting edge games. Cex offers choice to the consumer and doesn't rip people off. With a domineering online market, Cex seems to still stay strong and this can only be because of the premier service and prices that they offer.

I'm glad CeX are actually on here cause my experience today was terrible…read more I'm quite a big gamer myself so I have tended to frequent into CeX on regular occasions and I have to say that the bigger CeX have got, the worse their service has been. CeX is no longer a computer games and electronics store, it is basically cash converters in disguise. The Walsall store is disgusting though, firstly the store actually smells of drugs. There was a strong smell of weed from the moment I walked in. Not sure whether thats from the people that shop there or just the store in general but its unpleasant and not very welcoming. We waited in the queue for about 20 min (only 2 people from the front). The queue got longer and longer and no help appeared to be surfacing any time soon. One lad was serving a person that appeared to have brought in about 300 games (not his fault obviously) and 2 girls were taking forever to serve a couple over one laptop, I'm still not sure why it took 2 of them. At this time, 2 gentlemen behind the till were just wandering about doing nothing. Eventually after 20 min one of the lazy gents ordered everyone to form a new queue further up the store, in doing this 3 people from behind us speedily jumped ahead of us meaning we lost our place in the queue. The store attendant event seeing this did nothing! We eventually got served and there was still no apology for the length of time that we had to wait. I hate CeX now, I will never be shopping here again, walsall or anywhere else, it just gets from bad to terrible. I had a similar sort of experience at their store in Leeds a few weeks back and no one seems bothered about trying to do anything about it at all.

For those unfamiliar, it's a bit like Cash Converters but focuses mostly on DVDs, computer games, mobile phones and other small electro-gadgets (iPods etc.) For those unfamiliar with Cash Converters, CeX is basically a great shop rammed full of cheap, pre-owned DVDs etc. There's loads of bargains to be had, such as series (I try not to say 'season', damn Americanisms!) box sets of things like 24 and Family Guy for between £6 and a tenner. I'm pathalogically bad at computer games that came out after Donkey Kong 64, so I couldn't tell you much about what games they've got, but there's a lot of them. The selection of films they stock, considering they're all pre-owned is vast - everything from blockbusters to obscurities. There's also a membership scheme in the form of a small key fob which lets you exchange goods. Before this place there was practically nowhere to buy DVDs in West Brom, certainly nowhere dedicated. Now all it needs is a bookshop and a proper record shop.
