So, we were about to start a longer drive and stopped at this Shell to get gas and prep. Usually gas station stops like that are ones you want to make quick and not mess around. However, the trip to this Shell is one I still remember, because of how awesome the attendant Sharyl was! With a huge smile on her face and all the friendliness in the world, she started our drive off the best it could have with how awesome she was. She even offered us paper towels to take with for our snacks. I specifically remember her saying how, "your mom isn't around right now so I'll take care of you like a mom would". She was unbelievably sweet and unforgettable- this will be the gas station I come back to in the area just because of her!

Just off the highway facing a gorgeous lake we were both pleasantly surprised at the care its given in comparison to others we've stopped at. We even took note of the clean gas pumps as well. The employee greeted us kindly and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. The small store even smelled nice! I wasn't sure what scent it was but it was pleasant and calming. We didn't need to purchase anything at the time but I certainly wanted to because I appreciated it so much. Being on a long drive you get used to expecting less than stellar accommodations so stumbling upon this gas station was one of the highlights!

As a longtime regular customer who visits multiple times a week and purchases at least 14 coffees…read moreweekly for my coworkers, I've grown to appreciated this local family-owned coffee shop. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience today that fell short of the usual service. I ordered a cold brew with cold foam for my friend's birthday. When I received my drink, it had sweet cream instead of cold foam. I politely went back inside, explained the situation, and asked if we could get the correct topping. The barista became visibly upset, told me I was the problem, and insisted that cold foam was used but must be flat. She then dumped out roughly half of my drink, added more cold foam, mentioning it had been made two days earlier and she is certain it's fine. My drink is now all cream and is sitting in a puddle on the counter. I was really surprised and saddened by the interaction, especially given how much I value this shop and support it regularly. While mistakes happen and I understand that, the response made what should have been a simple correction and a celebratory moment feel very uncomfortable. I hope this feedback is received as constructive. I'd love to continue being a loyal customer and will be back, but I'm hoping for friendlier service and better attention to orders going forward.

It was truly cool to get done top shelf coffee from such a quaint stop just off of I-90. They also sell cool merch and original art and other pieces by local artists. A drive thru of in middle of SD yep they have one. Loved sitting out front on their rocking chairs enjoying my coffee in the country. Huge shout out to Ryan the barista who was exceptionally nice and cool. She knows her coffee free and is a great personality for the Cantina. I'll be back.

We were so lucky to find the White Lake Cafe. The two ladies working welcomed us in and was quick to pour the coffee. We all 3 had the special of the day which was a beef sandwich. It was amazing!
