They sell a lot of Chinese crap that doesnt work at high prices and good luck with their crappy customer service. no more for me.

Ordered a Polish MP5 respirator (think it's actually French made). Called customer service ahead of time to request a size large to avoid returns. They promise to note it but informed me they couldn't guarantee sizes. Received a child's size that I cannot use. Although in the their returns sections it says to contact customer service to obtain a return label they would not honor it. Had to pay more than half of what I paid for the item to ship back. I would rather the post office make the money . Their iron clad 100% satisfaction guarantee didn't come thru for me. To be fair the item was in good condition. read more

Their customer service and management are rude and not helpful. I bought something 10 days ago and still have not received it. CH Kadels charge me for their junk, then a few days later hit my account with an "authorization" charge so I was hit with two charges. The kicker here was CH Kadels hit my account from their parent BUD K. So I had two separate vendor and phone numbers and Wells Fargo saw that as fraud. Wells Fargo put a hold on my account and sent me a new card by policy. All because of the super shady practices from CH Kadels. read more

They sell a dual band handheld radio ( with no charger ) for $ 59.99. I got the exact same thing from Amazon ( with a charger ) for $ 28.99. I e-mailed them and asked why the big price difference. The answer: " The price is set by the manufacturer". What!? It might be, but it's not $ 59.99. That price is set by CHKadels. If you see anything you want on their website, do yourself a favor, and Google it. Guaranteed, you'll find it a lot cheaper somewhere else. read more

This company is a FRAUD. It's items are misadvertized and when confronted, the company will simply refuse to pay your shipping, even if it is several times more than the cost of the item and you have pre-paid! I will NEVER buy from these people again, and I recommend the same from others if they intend to keep their $$$. read more

I placed an order a week ago, and paid for 3 day shipping. I received an order confirmation right after I placed the order. 6 days later, my order had still not shown up. I emailed customer service to find out what was going on, and was told that they got a message from my bank that the order might have been fraud. They claim to have tried to contact me via phone and email, and after 3 days, cancelled my order. I received no such communication from them, no order cancellation email, nor did I receive any notice of potential fraud from my bank. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I asked if they could rush the order, and cover overnight (as I was now in a bind for time), but they stuck to their lie of trying to contact me, and gave me the big middle finger. After doing some digging, I found the same product I ordered from them, on Amazon for quite a bit less, with a very cheap overnight shipping option. read more

I had an issue where a watch I ordered had not shown up after about three weeks. I called and told them about it, and they shipped a replacement which I got a couple of days later (last Friday). I corresponded with the customer service by e-mail and they were very helpful. As far as I can tell they are responsive, so I have no problems. I have been buying preparedness gear for years and am very familiar with this type of company. I only started dealing with CH Kadels in 2016, but they seem very good. read more

Bought a $100 gift card for a relative. This company is unable and unwilling to provide notice of who sent the card. When the phone rep selling the card was asked twice specifically if a CH Kadel catalogue would be with the card, he clearly stated that a catalogue definitely would accompany the card. He lied; it did not. When my concerns were expressed to what they call customer "service" the responses were flat and lacking any normal degree of a reasonable business response. I Recently placed 3 huge orders within a month...on the last order..3 items needed replacement which I understand..I also had an item.malfunction that needed replacement but the original was disposed of because it was dangerous..the customer service said they would send that replacement with the others when they received those back I had asked for that one item to be sent right away because it was a winter item and it was winter.they stated they would just send it all together again. When they finally received everything back they didn't have that item in stock anymore and told me they would just give me a credit. I had a feeling this was going to happen. After all the business I gave them I don't see why they couldn't replace a cheap $13 item before receiving all the other replacements. read more

Mixed review. I generally like CH Kadels and would recommend their new out of the box items. But I recently bought a Swiss backpack/jacket combo that said "used", and when I got it found one strap to the backpack completely cut and unrepairable, and the jacket was missing clips, and snaps to close it. The items was trash. Called customer service and they said they would provide paid postage to send it back for a refund. I'd like to give them a good rating, but for now until I get the refund I'll leave this at 2 stars. read more

I recently purchased a large order from CHKadels Survival and Outdoor. Approximately $400 in emergency supplies for our family members to all have Bug Out Bags. Part of this order contained 8 Gas Masks. None of these masks had a single instruction that came with them to tell me how to assemble them. There were 4 or 5 loose parts in the bag. The purpose of a gas mask is to completely seal outside air and contaminants, so I needed to know how to assemble the masks properly to assure they would work as advertised. I emailed CHKadels requesting instructions and never heard back. After 3 days I called them and the receptionist told me there had been several other requests for this information. Her supervisor emailed me a blurb on why gas masks are necessary in the event of an emergency, and some information on how to assemble the filters in the mask. But no information for the other two loose parts. I emailed the "supervisor" and told him that it was impossible to rely on these 8 masks without some sort of assembly instructions. He told me that I could return them if I wanted. Needless to say, the box they arrived in was very large and much too awkward and heavy for me to handle on my own. I asked him if he would credit me for the initial shipping as well as send me a prepaid label so I could return the 8 masks. (One would think this is an obvious customer service solution). The supervisor refused to accommodate this simple request. Now I have to pay to send back a large, heavy box that contains product that CHKadels had prior knowledge would not be acceptable to the consumer as shipped. I had hoped to refer CHKadels to others, but this has soured my opinion of their company. We own a business in our home town and I try to remember that the customer is always right --and our job is to accommodate them! I don't recommend you shop here. There is plenty of other competition who cares about their customers. read more
