Just before we left we got the classic Carmel Slice, Cherry Crumble and Sacher Torte (Slice) to go. Just as pleasing as the others. For a shop that is located in St Kilda with its steep history, I was surprised to see that the pricing wasn't too expensive or cheap. It was just right... In conclusion, I would come back for after dinner desserts and have them cater for my future celebrations. If you haven't been and or haven't heard of this place then your missing out on a little slice of what Melbourne has to offer. A part of me thought that I might have been a little to far out from the city to find a hip coffee bar, but it turned out that I wasn't because this place pretty much delivered. The staff were friendly, and the coffee was pretty good. It seems to be one of those places that people visit before catching the train, as opposed to when they arrive in the city. For grubb we feasted on the homemade sausage roll, middle eastern eggs with bacon and a chicken wrap. Everyone enjoyed their meals and agreed we would come back to visit again. We then trotted off to find some nerf guns to rid us of the tranquility and energy we had gained from the visit to the Milk Bar.

So I ordered one of their prepared sandwiches with the intention that it should only take a couple of minutes. Sadly I'd finished my coffee before my sandwich was even ready. This is the type of place that you need to be slow. Enjoy the beautiful looking (and tasting) food on offer. Don't do what I did and rush in rush out. Laze over the paper and enjoy your brunch. The presentation was insanely adorable, but taste-wise, it was too sweet and heavy for my liking. The chocolate decorations was not delicate and the tart based pastry was a tad too hard. With each cake costing $8-9 each, expensive for what basically amounts to a few bites. Be My Love - Again, the presentation was so darn cute, almost too beautiful to be eaten. However, it was just as forgettable as the previous. A milk chocolate mousse with raspberry jelly in the middle- it has that combination taste of sweet and sour that was a little too overpowering for my palate. The best part about my trip to LuxBite however, has got to be sipping their Rose lychee latte. Mildly infused Rose-lychee flavor latte garnished with raspberry bits. Quite creative, delicious and slightly bitter - a perfect remedy to tone down the richness and sweetness of the cake. Short to say, LuxBite was just an alright experience for me, but I would say it's still worth the try - the taste might not be anything too special, but the cake artistry here is superb and the staffs are full of smiles.
