Amazing! I used to like Indian Cuisine, now I love it! Amazing! Tandoori taste wonderful and perfectly seasoned. The Tikka Masala is wonderful - Best I have ever had. Customer Service was delightful and friendly. I love the place.

Chicken Tikka Masala straight from the city where it was thought up to be served in a sauce. It was tender and full of flavor. Dum Biryani was tender and the rice excellent. I actually ate it with the mint sauce to help the rice stick to it. The service was really fast and kind. Inside it was loud, but with the amount of people they service it's only expected. 9/9 the chicken was fiine.

Indian tapas-style restaurant. They recommend to order two dishes for a person, but I'd say 1.5 is enough! The dishes I had tried very quite tasty, the only thing Biryani dish had two small places of meat, I was expecting more. Nevertheless, I'm very happy with the food and the service, which was quite quick.

The food was delicious - the server encouraging to take a few dishes from the menu as it is small dishes. The fish pakora was an absolute treat and I could have ate that all night. We chose butter chicken and my husband who recently started eating meat again chose the lamb which he felt was a very overpowering protein. Staff were attentive and plenty of staff around so you weren't waiting long for any dish. I love the vibe and it was very popular and busy which shows you what a mainstay this place is - not a flash in the pan! Well done people!

Lots of variety and lots of flavor. They suggest ordering multiple food items as the menu is all small plates. We still ended up taking some home but neither me or my husband were upset by that. The tikka masala did not disappoint however the kabob stole the show. It's a bit loud even in the quiet section but who needs to talk with a mouth full of delicious food? Our server was very knowledgeable and had a couple suggestions, all of which were spot on.

Tapas style Indian food - we thought servings might be too small, but we got 5 dishes & 3 naan's between 3 adults and two desserts and it was perfect! They can cook the cauliflower with a low sear and it was perfect! Highly recommend the Kerala monkfish, saag paneer and Aloo Chana salad. The gulab jamun & the garlic naan were perhaps slight let-downs, but otherwise rest of the food didn't disappoint. Our total was £50 for 3adults

I really fell for Indian food after Dishoom, so decided to find an alternative in Glasgow. Although I made reservations for here on a Thursday afternoon, it wasn't too busy until after 12pm. I chose to come here for lunch time due to their lunch special, but unfortunately it was not offered. Instead, we ordered the Tandoori Spiced Wings (£6.25), Chicken Madras (£6.75), Dum Biryani (£6.95), Garlic Naan (£2.25), and Jeera Rice (£2.95). Surprisingly enough, the chicken wings were our personal favorite. It was a little spicy, a little sweet, and full of flavor. I also loved the chicken madras, which has a really nice kick of spice. If you like spicy food, definitely get this one. Just make sure you get some naan or rice with this dish to balance the spicy and flavors. The dum biryani was good as well over a flavorful rice, although I felt like the lamb lacked in quality and quantity. Yummy Indian food that is a solid alternative to Dishoom, but I only wish their Chai Tea was not so overpriced.

Wow! Best Indian food I've ever had. We finished the lot of it. We also had two drinks, "Cocktail #1" and "Holiday Mojito". I didn't enjoy the mojito but the Cocktail #1 was delicious! Will definitely be eating here again.

We went for dinner here last night. The decor is stylish, yet cosy. The waiter talked us through the menu and explained that it's best to order around 5 dishes for 2 people. We ordered 2 curries, rice, pickles, naan and samosas. The food was incredible and we ended up getting more samosas because we loved them so much. We ended up with a £30 bill which is very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

It was a rainy day: drizzling : that consistency of rain that makes you feel a bit run down. I was met with the most delicious, warming coffee: a very smooth latte, that had such a lovely taste that there was no need for a drop of sugar. They were out of most of their pastries by the time I sat in--due to their popularity, I have no doubt. I chose one of their remaining items: a small cake that had a touch of lemon and a raspberry on top of a creamy frosting. It was delicious--a welcomed treat when I felt in need of a pick me up. I did not have a chance to test their food so am unable to comment. Do note however: This is a VERY small place. Cozy to be sure, but small and by no means for larger groups. It is ideal for the soloist and duos to come in and have a fairly quick coffee, cake, and food (I assume). This is NOT a place to study. There are no comfortable lounge chairs, chairs or tables. The seating is composed of stools that reside at two bars. It's kind of reminding me of Italian style cafes where you drink your espresso at the bar, across from the barista who just served it to you (though in Rome, they don't offer you stools even!). Given the level of their coffee and cake, I'll be back again soon.

You walk in and get seated for table service; or you can order takeout. This is not a Soup Kitchen per se, but if you're a person of need, you can enter via a side door for free soup and hot beverages to go. They have been in operation since 2015, and in their first three years of operation, have given away 12,000 meals and 13,500 hot beverages! Again, BRAVO!!! All profits and donations from the Cafe go to their two charity partners: Glasgow City Mission and Bethany Christian Trust, to support their ongoing work with some of the city's most vulnerable people. The charities also help with work placement and employability training. How awesome is that?!?! The team at The Wild Olive Tree consists of paid staff, volunteers and work placements. I had walked by a few times the day I finally popped in for a late lunch, as they were swamped the whole lunch rush. I managed to squeeze in to the queue around 2pm and I could tell they had just been through the ringer with the lunch crowd. The guy ahead of me wanted a chicken tikka sandwich but they were out of a couple of the ingredients, so he ordered something else. When it was my turn to order, the guy jokingly said 'let's see if I'm able to make your sandwich!" I ordered the Chiken Ole which was chicken meat, manchego cheese, chorizo, salsa and a spicy mayo on ciabatta. The only one thing they didn't have was the salsa, which in exchange they offered me a bit of salad with some sweet chili sauce. I decided against the sauce and took the salad! What a delightful sandwich this was. My stomach is growling just thinking about it! The bread was freshly baked and so delicious, even at 2pm. The ingredients were all fresh and piled high in to the bread. I also grabbed a bag of crisps and a lemon mint san pellagrino. The greatest lunch on the go I've had in a long while. The guys in here were cool as anything and the music was great. The queues might be long but the sandwiches are worth it. They also serve soups, coffee and baked goods if you're looking for something sweet. I will be back for sure!

I've visited the other two branches and I've always enjoyed what they've had on offer. I had been a busy wee bee in town and decided a cheeky wee break was needed. This Tinderbox, situated on the 1st floor of Paperchase, is now my go-to coffee shop if I am in this part of town and looking for a cafe that is cosy (and pretty cool) to sit in. Another thing I like about this particular Tinderbox is that it stays open until 7pm (8pm on a Thursday) most nights, which is really good for a coffee shop as most seem to shut much earlier. There's a reasonable amount of varied seating ~ you can choose cosy booths, high up table, wee lower table, a sofa or window tables. The window tables seem to be the most popular as they have a cracking view down onto Buchanan Street below. Also they have a good mix of small and larger tables too. The shop itself is very bright, colourful & mostly pretty jumpin' so this isn't maybe the best coffee shop to sit in with a hangover or to sit quietly with a book...although I'm sure at certain times of the day it does quieten down a wee bit. Staff are always friendly and helpful. One day after only taking 1 sip of my flat white I accidentally (clumsily) spilled it all over the table (ooft), I felt so daft & had to ask a staff member for a cloth to clean it up to which she thankfully laughed at (in a knowing, 'we've all been there' kinda way) and then swiftly came over to clean up, before I even got a chance to apologise (again) she said 'Flat white wasn't it? With soya milk? I'll get another straight over to you' Wow. That was SO nice of her. Not only did she get me another coffee (For FREE; I didn't expect them too!) but she also remembered/knew what I was drinking when it wasn't even her that had took my order! I was mightily impressed. THAT is really good customer service. The choice of coffees/drinks here is really good ~ there's something for everyone, be they a coffee drinker or not. I stick to the (soya) flat whites or cappuccino's as they're my favourites. Soya milk is also at no extra cost which I like. On a more aesthetic note I rather like their take-away cups ~ they're a corrugated cardboard of various shades (depending on which size you have) with 'Joe To Go' written on them. I like this as it reminds me of Agent Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks every time I read it :-) Food wise I have only ever partaken in the sweet treats here. Everything looks yummy but I can recommend the Empire Biscuits, Portuguese Custard Tarts and the cakes (cupcakes). All very tasty. Since they have introduced the bonus of a cheeky free coffee every 7 days for any Paperchase card holders I have been in here more than ever. It's a great idea and it really has made me visit here & buy more stationary than I normally would have! Haha! Clever clever people...
