I live in Chino Hills and usually go to the Chino campus, but the classes I needed weren't offered there, so I had to come here. It's about a 45 minute drive for me, the campus is very big. One of the counselors at the gps center was very rude to me. The campus is nice, though I personally wouldn't come if I had a choice. read more

I have to change my review for the simple fact of the disability services. I was running late to my appointment because of traffic. I called the rancho campus because chino doesn't have a direct line. She told me I had to cancel my appt because if you are late you have to reschedule. I decided to show anyways. The lady who was in her office was very nice. She said let me call rancho to see if it's still okay to see you. She got off the phone and asked me to come in. I was so nervous because I've been wanting the services. She was honestly the best. Whatever questions or answers we needed she got on the phone and called to find. She took the time to ask me what accommodations I needed. What services are available. Numbers, information, paperwork, I needed. She didn't rush through anything. She was patient and non judgmental. I wish I had the same experience from health services. There's another man in the main office who helped me find what I needed. My teacher gave me an extension for the tb testing but I was sick with bronchitis so didn't attend. It is a small campus but they changed my mind. read more

It is impossible to sign up for dual enrollment. The admissions office is ridiculously bad. Every single step, there is another wall. Its been impossible TO SIGN UP FOR A CLASS I ALREADY HAVE PRE-REQS CLEARED FOR. read more

Nice small campus in the middle of nowhere. Teachers here are nice and there are a few pros/cons with a small campus. Pros: nice intimate setting, smaller classes, you get to know the staff pretty well. Cons: very difficult to add classes due to size, limited class offerings, small student lounge areas, library, etc. Always check ratemyprofessor.com to try to snag a winner... A lot of the highest rated teach here. Never experienced a parking problem, just a traffic problem. Leave early! read more

Chaffey College - Chino Campus - Campus is tiny - Colleges & Universities Near Me - Chino, California

I'm glad to see that the previous student found the Chaffey Chino Campus to be enjoyable. However, I did not. It's a very unattractive campus that is pretty much a large parking lot, a small amount of buildings, and a large amount of goats. It borders a prison and you can hear alarms from the prison going off just about any day of the week. Lets be honest, most people who attend community college don't care too much about how the campus looks/feels. You can take my word from it that the teachers at this facility aren't much better than the campus. I've found that all three of my professors were miserable with their position and would rather be elsewhere. They all had very thick accents as well, which makes learning much more difficult than it needs to be. My recommendation is that unless you live in the direct area around this campus, then go to Chaffey Rancho or Mt. Sac. read more

This school has the capability to be a great lil community college. It just lacks the attention to there students. Today is my final..I got off work early to get some tutoring in before class. I come and find out the success center is closed and the library is only open till 4 pm... Students are literally outside on benches and tables trying to study while the wind is blowing everywhere. What a shame that they don't care for students education. If I wasn't so far from other colleges and work I would def. go elsewhere. read more

I have Saturday class here and as with any other class we have tests/exams. The last couple of weeks the only form of getting a scantron (vending machine) has been locked up. That's really disappointing because I work 2 jobs m-f so there's no way for me come during the week to buy scantron a from the store. I want to succeed but locking up scantron ms and supplies Saturday is not helping read more

I'm sooo happy I found this College! The chino campus is amazing! Always parking available!! I changed my major and went into nursing and finished my science prerequisites (anatomy, physio, chem, psych 9, and Micro bio) Absolutely ALL OF MY PROFESSORS are amazing, compassionate, and always willing to help! I only was waitlisted for One class! And was able to get it! As a student you need to be very on it with registration dates to get your class :) Financial aid at chino is super nice and helpful too! read more

I love this campus and school! The staff is awesome! When my friends talk about trying to get back into school or not sure of their future plans out of high school. I always try to put in my 2 cents about Chaffey college. Especially the chino campus since it makes the drive a lot shorter than going to rancho. The staff here is so friendly, everyone seems to enjoy working here. It's not the big so seeing the same workers are nice. The buildings are usually clean, the area is near farms so be prepared for bugs!! And the cow smell which isn't too bad. Just am awesome place to get your education rolling. They offer tons of different classes from fashion - cooking. Great educational institute. read more

I have been to many different community colleges in my time as a student and I have to say that the dedication to help students succeed at this school is unsurpassed. Personally, I have received tutoring at the success center for a variety of subjects including English, Math, Economics, as well as Accounting. Yes, it is not as large as nearby schools such as Mt. Sac, Citrus College, or the Rancho Campus of Chaffey but there are definite advantages to this. For one, this campus is virtually-free of distractions and parking is never an issue. It may not be your cup-of-tea if you are looking to make school your daily hang-out spot because it is a smaller school but I found my experiences here to be very enjoyable. I really do not have enough good things to say about those in charge of how this school is run. The staff is amazing. Overall, the administrators just do a great job of ensuring students are aware of the tools and help available to them. The system that those in the Success Center have implemented is one of the better ones by far. When compared to other schools, Chaffey Chino Campus offers: 1)Less congestion 2)More class availability 3)Higher levels of individual support read more

I started going here in 2010 & I have to say I don't really care for it. I felt like the time I spent at the school was time wasted. The teachers are mean (The ones that I've had) & most of the classes are a joke. I don't feel like any of the conversations are intellectual, & none of the material would excite me. I might sound harsh but that's the truth. I added one star only because I had ONE class that I liked in all 3 years. If you're just there for your general, good. But if u want something for your money & actually want to learn & love what you're learning, go somewhere else. I'm transferring! read more

this school really isn't that bad. I am currently taking a Guidance class at this campus and I must say that I really enjoy going here. My professor is really nice and understanding, the people that go here are super nice, and the campus in general is quite small but it is actually super nice. read more

I attended chaffey college since spring of 2018 & they didn't have anything I wanted to learn & they didn't even have a lot of opportunities up there. my dps counselor didn't think I would do good in a major for kinesiology or fitness so I chose communications for my major pursuing broadcasting journalism. They didn't have any open gyms, no track & field, their parking was very terrible, they didn't have any healthy options at their school and they didn't have any activities for me to participate in. I even tried to join a club for recording arts & they kept telling me that they are rescheduling it for another week & I didn't think they wanted me to join at all because they thought I was a weird person. I also found myself as a terrible writer & felt like I wasn't going to get anywhere with that major. During school time at the throttl tutoring center, I was even accused of doing physical contacts with tutors & they told the dean I only made appointments with women which was very untrue & made me felt unwelcomed because of my disability. I cried and think about it everyday & I wasn't myself after what they done to me it still bothers me right now this day because I would never do any harm to hurt anybody or do sexual assault to anybody. If you're a DPS student, don't do or make same tutoring appointments with same tutors at the Rancho Campus because they are very rude & will not want to help you. I am no longer attending or going back to Chaffey anymore because I felt unwelcomed most of the time & they didn't have a lot of opportunities for me to learn :(. read more
