I got rear ended, my car was totaled, and I was hurt. Someone screened me and I didn't hear back until it was too late to form a case.

I had a feeding tube inserted last year by a surgeon. Within a couple weeks, I was back in the hospital, unable to keep any formula down. After being examined in the ER, it was found that the feeding tube had not been placed correctly by the 1st surgeon. I needed a 2nd surgeon to insert a new feeding tube and to correct the issues from the misplaced 1st tube. I was informed that this was not the first time that this has happened by the 1st surgeon. When attempting to get legal representation, I was informed that my case would not be accepted because it would not be financially beneficial. I didn't care if I wasn't going to get any money from this, I just don't want the 1st surgeon to be operating on people and causing more damage to the body than before the surgery. I'm not sure they were doing right by not taking the case and possibly saving more people injury and grief. read more

I am currently homeless, disabled, and barely getting by. I applied for presettlememt funding to try to save my own life, and that of my service dog. And Chaffin Luhana keeps preventing from happening. Giving just enough details for me to get denied. Since it doesn't cost them either way, I don't know why the malicious intent. Every time I call, I'm talked to like I'm stupid. Because I guess I'm not good enough for them to be wasting their time talking to. They have a social worker who was told to contact me, she did. I am sure that once they take a case they do well by their clients. However, they investigated a famous drug that many people believe has caused rare cancer to emerge. The people who take this medicine are usually the elderly and the infirm. They admitted to me that they did all this research and decided not to pursue the case because it would be "too hard to win". The manager who rejected my mother's case found me another lawyer to call. But I think the world needs to realize that this firm promised a client they would take on this problem early on and then they opted not to fight for people who will ultimately die in pain as a result of this medicine. They took on our case which was whip lash and back pain due to a work vehicle that had hit my daughter and I. We both were hurt and ended on prescriptions and going to physical therapy. They told us that they were going to help and we gave them all of our information. They waited about five months later to say that they needed assistance from another law firm to help the case. The new lawyers wanted everything done all over again. The bottom line is that they could have told us from the start that our case wasn't case $$ worthy. So unless you die or lose a limb they may not help you. Ask up front so that you won't waste your time. Too bad that Yelp doesn't have a zero rating. read more
