I was worried because of the bad reviews but again I couldn't find another place. I had concerns when the husband owner was pinning it, and verbally told him i wanted it longer and he (i thought) adjusted the pins. When I went to pick it up they had done it unevenly with one side shorter than the other and made it too short. When I told him he said I did that by hiking it up higher and that it was only uneven by a "little" so when I walked it would be fine. Oh they also didn't give me a price when I brought it in and then charged me $93 to hem less than an inch off. He kept huffing and puffing saying I was the first person to ever complain in his 30 years in business. It was clear he was going to dismiss everything I said and kept saying it was "fine" but for $93 I expect it at least be even on both sides.

Only 1/2 cup soap.... Have to use THIS washer ($7.50 a load) vs. smaller one (that the load actually fit in fine @ only $4.00). I had paid (a quarter) for an "extra rinse" cycle on the washer and he came by the washer and took it off that cycle. Then he took my "high heat" off dryer and put it to medium. I confronted him and he denied it. Lots of "NO" signs here-NO PETS!!! NO RESTROOMS!! NO SKATEBOARDS!! NO ROLLERBLADES!! Really? Cuz I wanted to rollerblade in your laundromat. First & last visit. Also-a couple ladies came in and asked me "is this guy for real?" They too were from out of town. Oh. I gave him a star for being clean. It's clean.

The dress also puckered at all of the places where it attaches to the liner. I can only assume they simply threw it in the washing machine as no explanation was offered to me. They then refused to reimburse me for the alterations I had done totaling $32. The staff even had the gall to claim I should have brought the dress back to them to have it repaired, and then they would have considered compensating me. Absolute worst customer service experience of my entire life. Do not use John's Dry Cleaning!

I so respect and admire Sun and her husband's work. I also appreciate their advice- more than once when I have asked for a particularly difficult altering, Sun will recommend a less expensive compromise. She has an excellent eye and her decisions are always right on the nose. I will be sad for the day when Sun and her husband decide to retire and close Han's tailoring. Tailoring is becoming a lost skill. In our throw away society we think is ok to toss out quality clothing and simply buy new. Han's tailoring shows us how what we already have can be used again. They provide quality service to Yakima.
