At the start of my Master's program, I was new to Guelph and did not have any connections to dental practices in the area. I was looking for a clinic that would allow me to shadow the dental professionals to learn more about the dentistry and prepare myself for my future career. Harvard Rd Dental Care welcomed me with open arms! After shadowing in this dental practice for almost 40 hours, I can say that Dr. Hendricks and Dr. Abdalla are true professionals. They spend time with each patient and ensure that the patient understands their own oral health. They talk through all of the possible treatment plans so that patients can have the autonomy to choose what works best for them. The doctors take photos before and after each procedure to show the patient what was accomplished, and ensure that the patient is happy with the outcome. Dr. Hendricks and Dr. Abdalla evidently care about each patient that enters their practice, and their welcoming personalities help patients feel comfortable. The rest of the team at Harvard Rd Dental shows just as much kindness and care for their patients as the dentists do! Deb, Kori, and Jess are great to talk to, but more importantly, excellent dental professionals! Not only are they extremely thorough and efficient in their work, but they also go above and beyond when accommodating for older adults and children. My time at Harvard Rd Dental Care was extremely valuable. All of the staff were patient and answered my questions in detail. I learned so much from my shadowing and cannot thank the team enough for giving me the opportunity to better prepare myself for my future career as a dentist. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone! Elizabeth Worndl

I get told if your more than 15 minutes late we will have to reschedule traffic sped up walked in at 12:45 exactly 15 minutes in to my appointment. Tell them my daughters teeth are extremely sore and that i drove over an hour to come for X-rays and some other things as she will need to be put out. The manager tells me they canceled my appointment because it could go as long as an hour when they scheduled me for 30 minutes so I told her you still have an extra 15 minutes then she talked around in circles till I finally just walked out. I understand staying on schedule but if you claim to be about helping kids when one comes to you that is clearly in pain maybe take some time out your busy schedule and make things happen. Go anywhere but this dump. Also they start at 5 am and want to go home at 3 she says. Not there kids not there problem. 0 stars for service 0 stars for helping kids 5 stars for making lousy excuses

After our first appointment, I wasn't sure that the cost would be covered from our benefits but was told by them alot of them so cover this stuff. I was told they would contact my benefit company and get back to me with what was covered. They called back the next day with a cancellation and urges me to bring him in without knowing if it was covered. Of course it wasn't covered and we were out a shit ton of money.

I went there to have two of my wisdom teeth removed in December of 2019. I booked to have Nitrus…read moredone a while in advance but they called only a couple of days before the surgery to tell me that the person in charge of the nitrus wouldn't be there on the day of my surgery, so i could either reschedule for a month later or to it with a different much less effective option of sedation. Then once the appointment happened the sedation did next to nothing (I've had dental surgeries before so i know what its supposed to feel like) the dentist was very forceful and continued to make me open my mouth to painful extents, being very angry while doing it. Once the surgery was finished it still went badly from there. Mere hours after the surgery was finished my first stitch came out. I called the office to see if that was normal, and they had me come back to have it put back in. it was extremely painful. then after i left a second time, the day hadn't finished by the time the second stitch came out, and then next day the replacement first stitch also came out. I realized this was because he kept yelling at me to open my mouth wider, if you open your mouth too wide the stitch knot will come undone or the fabric will just break. so after he did one, making me open my mouth wide enough for the next loosened the first and allowed it to come out, and once he put back in the missing one he forced my mouth wide enough that the second one came loose. AND to put a cherry on top the secretary staff were very lax in getting my x-rays to me. i had to ask multiple times and it took multiple weeks. I personally will never be going to this dentist again and i HIGHLY recommend you do not either. not for surgeries at least, and please make sure they actually check if the people you're booked with are gonna be there in advance.

The team at the desk greeted me with enthusiasm and clearly explained what to expect. Both my dental hygienist(Laurie) and the dentist(Dr. Hussein) introduced themselves to me prior to beginning to work on my teeth, ensuring that I felt like a person more than just a patient or a bunch of teeth. Laurie was very careful and gentle in her work and checked in regularly to ensure that I was comfortable. She walked me through every step of the process, and was more than happy to answer any questions as they came up. Dr. Hussein was warm and welcoming thoughtout the entire interaction. He took the time to answer all my questions and was very detailed in his responses and explanation of what he was checking for. The facility itself was nicely decorated, well lit and very clean. The space felt very comfortable, yet professional. I am not someone who usually struggles with anxiety going to the dentist, but it was clear that this facility had measure in place in the event that someone was not comfortable. Even knowing that the team was ready to support individuals who weren't comfortable at the dentist added to my experience. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting Trillium Dental Center if you're in the market for a new dentist.
