It was a Tuesday afternoon but the restaurant was quite busy and it seemed that they were understaffed as the kind lady who took our orders was also tending to the entire restaurant at the same time. Maybe it was because we were starving from the walking we previously endured but the food took upwards to 50 minutes to come out (which felt like quite a long time). However, I have no complaints beyond that because the dishes were worth all the while! The ingredients were very fresh, pastas perfectly cooked and seasoned. We ordered the Rigatoni Alla Bartinli, Ravioli Porcini, and the Tagliatelle Al Pesto off of the lunch menu. If I were to rank the three, the top dish was the Ravioli Porcini, as it was paired with very tasty mushrooms and bacon within a flavorful cream sauce. The Rigatoni had great texture and was a close second as it was overall just very delicious. The Pesto Tagliatelle was also very tasty as well but the ravioli was the all around winner. All of the pasta was definitely freshly handmade. The restaurant featured modern, minimalistic decorations. From the exterior, there is a slight contrast from the Christiania Town-look to an adapted modern look of the restaurant. It was refreshing to see such a modern place near the older architecture surrounding it. From inside, the restaurant features a bar and a few other tables of seating area. It gives off "upscale-relaxed" vibes. Since it was raining that day, it was nice that they had a coat rack and area to put wet umbrellas near the door. It made the restaurant feel more like home. The pastas were quite filling and were perfectly portioned. Each pasta did come out to be close to 300 Norwegian Kroner (~$29 USD), but whatever the cost, it satisfied our bellies and we were happy campers! My overall rating would be a 4.1, rounded to 4/5. The meal was great but it did take a little while to come out. With all that being said, I would come back if we had the chance to explore Oslo a different time!

There is no waiter for your table, and everything is do it yourself setup. You have to download an app to order your food and wait for a confirmation code to come to your phone. If you are from another country, the confirmation code may not work. Once you order from the menu, you have to pick up your own drink and food. Once you get the app working, you will get a notification to when your drink and food is ready to pick up from the designated areas. Ambiance: The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cool but unfortunately it is very tight with the tables being so close together and not very big inside. Some areas seem very old and may need some additional cleaning. I do not like restaurants that use carpet as their main dining area. In addition, the majority of the sitting areas are high bar tables. I would say as well, even with the nice crowd of people, it was not very loud inside. Food: If you are looking for a fulling menu, this is not what this place is set up for. This place is set up as more of a finger food type of place that has orders placed on a wood plank, and again, you have to go pick it up from the kitchen yourself. Several items of food needed a bunch of seasoning. The only thing that was good was the drinks and the chicken wings. I would pass on everything I had. There are some vegan options, but even those need some additional seasoning as well. Overall: If you are looking for someone where to have a great conversation or just hang out, I would recommend this place. Such great efforts in helping with ordering and giving a bit of history on the restaurant. The family owned restaurant has been in service helping the local culinary students. Loved the chance to sit and enjoy the hard to choose from tapas, everything we ordered was delicious. The decor is perfectly arranged with old photos of bullfighting days and candlelight's in the window. I highly recommend visiting Oslo, Norway making a pitstop to try La Sangria.

The service was really good too with the waitress explaining the menu to us since it was a new tasting menu they were trying . I got a local beer and we tried the miso, glazed eggplant with non-bread and the lobster roll . Both items were extremely delicious and surprisingly filling for being small plates style . From what I've read, they have live entertainment and music upstairs on certain nights, but we came on a quiet evening.
