It was a mere $5,000 claim. They were raising my premium by over $3,000 ! I got on line and found an A rated company to approve me for same coverage and it was over $2,300 less. I tried to contact them about additional coverage that was needed on an addition to the house by phone and email and never heard back. This year I received a letter from my mortgage company that our wind insurance lapsed, which has never happened before. Apparently they (Allstate) didn't click the button that it would be paid through escrow so I had to pay 2,200$ out of pocket to get wind insurance in July. I and my mortgage company tried to call them but of course it just goes to voicemail 95% of the time.
