Mr. Parrish was a great teacher, Mr. Johnson seemed cool at first, but he said a lot of concerning things to me. First; there was a instance where I was testing for a promotion and in the middle of this test my knee dislocated and I fell to the ground - I got up almost immediately and continued the test to show that I wouldn't give up. I failed the promotion due to ''taking a break'' or ''losing my footing'' something along those lines.. I dislocated my knee, who else would get up and fight during that?? Second; there was a time where some martial artists from the tae kwon do class were cross training with us - I was assisting a ''black belt'' with keeping their arms up and striking pads. Mr. Johnson made comments like ''shes a black belt, she doesn't need your advice'' or ''let's put on some pads and see who would win in a sparring match'' - this is concerning because I was training with a young girl, I don't care if she is a black belt, if I had hurt this girl in a sparring session, I would be the bad guy; this was inappropriate. Also, I don't care if someone is a black belt, all experience levels can learn from eachother; it's not like I did Krav and other martial arts for....years or anything, nope not at all... I have concerns about Mr. Johnson coaching at this place.

The communication of dates, details, and info with this location is not very clear. We pre-paid a one time fee for the year and once it expired we decided not to continue. I emailed requesting confirmation of what our membership expiration date was and never received a response in writing. I was told the "system" emailed me regarding the payment extending but I did not receive it as maybe it went to spam/junk etc. I was very surprised that they automatically started charging us $280 monthly for 2 months after our membership expired without written authorization from us even though we had never been on a monthly payment plan. Luckily, I noticed it on my credit card account and was able to stop further payments but they will not take off the charges which is disappointing. I wanted to post so others families are aware of this business practice.

Saturday morning 9:00-9:30 for 3 year olds. 9:00 am was a little too early for my daughter. Her class was small with only three other children. The children learned "yes ma'am/sir". During the class they had two instructors and parent involvement towards the end. The membership packages were a little pricey. $973 flat rate for 2 classes for 6 months including gear. Other packages available if you want to do payment plans. She really enjoyed the class. But I'll wait until she gets a little older.
