She did a gum graft on me in January 2024 after I had been experiencing gum recession for several years. I just had my 3 month post-op check up and all is looking good. I am so pleased with the meticulous quality of her work. I had been very anxious beforehand as a previous gum graft done elsewhere in 2018 did not last, and the recovery process then had been painful and uncomfortable with a lot of inflammation and bruising on my chin. Dr. Adisa clearly explained the whole process to me, before, during and afterwards. She was both honest about the post-op discomfort I would feel during the first 2 weeks, and reassuring about how that would be temporary. I didn't experience any bruising this time, and very little swelling. Her post-op care instructions are excellent, and I felt very well cared for when I had questions. She was very responsive. The hygienists are conscientious and the front desk staff, Kim and Jackie are warm, welcoming and helpful with insurance issues. I have nothing but high praise for this office. From the moment i walked in, I knew i wanted to establish care here. The office is inviting and calming, with separate rooms, ample windows, and tranquil paintings. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. My dental assistant was efficient and we were even able to combine my new patient exam and cleaning into a single visit since I was already there. The hygienist was amazing--she talked me through the entire process, was so gentle that I didn't feel any pain while she was scraping or flossing, and even asked me about college. We established a hand signal as a way to communicate if I needed a moment. My dentist, Dr. Heer, was also wonderful. She gave me a jaw massage to release tension, complimented my teeth, and even joked about me winning an Olympic gold medal after I mentioned my athletic pursuits. I decided to search Yelp and was hard pressed in finding a dentist whom didn't have scathing reviews and then I found Karen Sperry's Practice. She only had three reviews, but all were five stars and let's face it: this day and age people LOVE to complain, so I took these as genuine. I'm glad I trusted Yelp! They got me in right away, because I thought I had an abscessed tooth, which turned out to be sinus. (Thanks for the scare Dr. Google!) Be that as it may, the office staff were terrific-- polite, took their time, and I didn't have to submit DNA to get them to understand the insurance process. I ended up being cavity-free! Which I'm sure wasn't exciting, but Kim and Karen, were a joy to talk to and they were thorough. Their equipment is state of the art and their dental hygienist (sorry I forgot her name) did a fantastic cleaning job.
