Champlain Valley Equipment. The best KUBOTA dealer east of the Mississippi. From ordering the L6060 to the delivery to the service to parts it has always been "How can we help you Wayne. If they don't have what is needed," it has always been let me see how we can get the part or with the pandemic they would be able to inform me of the expected delivery time once they know and they told virtually immediately". They have never said no. They have never given me the impression that my business was not extremely important to them. Every single time I have contacted them with a problem they have always bent over backwards to find the correct answer. Their technicians have been brilliant at finding and fixing the very few problem I have had and coming up with creative answers to unusual problems that I have presented to them. THEY HAVE NEVER SAID NO WE CAN NOT HELP YOU. Champlain is the second KUBOTA dealership I have used. The first one in NH claims to be the largest KUBOTA dealership east of the Mississippi (if you know who that is, MB Tractor) and they can't hold a candle to how Champlain has taken care of me. For me Champlain has always done business the way it should be done and the way it used to be done. Stay away from Champlain Valley Equipment. They have the worst service department. They won't back the work they do. They won't work with you. Please stay away from them. They are always willing to sell you equipment but nothing to back the product. read more

I have a Kubota BX and have gone there on several occasions for parts, which they never have. Last week I went there for two hoses, "we don't have those connections"! Went to Oreilly's and left with both hoses. On another occasion I went to purchase a RTV 1100C, "sorry sir can't find any"! I went to a dealer in West Springfield, Mass and came home that day with the machine, and Boss plow. I have many more stories and so do my friends, none of which are good. Apparently the owner is a retired guard general, his discipline has not passed down to the troops at Champlain Valley Equipment. read more

I purchased several pieces of equipment and implements from Champlain Valley Equipment for my property in VT and business, mostly from one particular salesman in the Derby store. I later learned through price comparison that this person always overcharged, grossly. I have since taken my business out of state. I found prices in NH, CT and MA to be much less than Champlain. The short sighted strategy of the salesman in Derby cost them a life-long customer. read more

I only had one experience with this outfit and won't go back. My only experience was with their parts department, which I found to be rude and not generally helpful. I was trying to find a drive shaft for my seeder and called them on the phone and got now where, so I drove over there with the drill. The parts guy would not help me and had me go through their service guy, who quickly identified the part needed and sent me back to parts... the old runaround. Then as I was checking out the parts guy noticed my MAGA shirt and went into a total TDS breakdown. I'll sell my farm before I darken their door again. read more

It is quite astonishing how farm equipment dealers can over charge their customers at every opportunity and be incompetent at the same time. Take Champlain Valley Equipment for instance in Derby, VT. They'll charge you $15.00 just for an employee to fit a clevis pin into a farm/lawn tractor, a job that takes 2-3 minutes. The clevis pin is a $5.00 item at Chamlain Valley Equipment or $1.95 at Tractor Supply. You can imagine how this gets multiplied for a more costly repair.. Dealers like this make thousand of dollars per day gouging their customers. If you think garages are inclined to rip people off, you haven't experienced the farm equipment dealers! If this price gouging was not insulting imagine being told that the clevis pin and its location could not be found on the manufacturer's schematic, despite a series of pictures presented to the service desk. After being told it would be $95.00 just for someone to look at the problem, I resolved to drive my B2400 farm and garden tractor 12 miles on busy highways to the dealer. The traffic jams I caused because of my maximum speed of 10 mph was no concern to the dealer, nor the danger of a heavy semi truck ploughing into the back of me which nearly happened. The service manager bent underneath my tractor, saw where the missing part was located and curtly told me he would have to charge me to fix it. Then he drove off with it behind the building. Five minutes later it was fixed, a missing clevis pin which they should have identified as the missing part in the first place and something that almost anyone could have replaced. I am not a farmer and don't buy farm equipment on a regular basis, but farmers sure have my sympathy when it comes to paying for repairs. No wonder the smaller operations are having such a tough time making ends meet when there are these vultures out there! read more
