Right now this is really the only gas in the area, but I see that there is another champs just a minute or two up the street coming soon. It looks like there's a decent amount of space here for vehicles to turn around, but because most of the vehicles that coming through are trucks or vans or larger vehicles pulling trailers, etc it can get pretty tight. I spoke to the cashier and she said they don't offer any discount or membership programs here so that's a definite negative for me. But the staff was nice and the bathrooms were clean. read more

What s gem! Great stop tor fuel and snacks. Restrooms are very clean and maintained. The hot chocolate is great. Im not a coffee drinker so I can't say anything on that. Plenty of room for vehicles and trailers too. I stopped here every morning to top off fuel. The girl at the counter (Jennifer) was a pleasure to speak to. Friendly and extremely helpful polite. My only problem is my work up here may be over so I'll probably never get to visit again. Heading back to Sacramento Friday. Anyway a great place for souvenirs and to just make a pit stop. Absolutely the best burger in Nevada! Grilled to perfection from angus beef that is ground daily. Perfectly fried French fries, cut from fresh potatoes. The coffee is some of the best we've had. After our burger, we stopped back to let the "gruff" chef know how ...and he cut us short: best burger you've ever had! with a great big grin and chuckle. Stopped here for gas and sandwiches, then found out they have freshly grounded coffee! The latino looking employee there is super friendly, totally changed my view about this town. They have EV charging stations here too, and they have Tesla adopters too. They have Route 50 "The Loneliest Road in America" related souvenirs like chest pins, shirts, hats, postcards. This place is also right by the Stokes Castle. Overall a really nice gas station considering it is in the middle of nowhere. read more

Can't believe I am reviewing yet ANOTHER gas station. Truth is, it is not for the gas, it is for the little convenience store. The gas really is NOT that expensive -I think it was actually cheaper than in in Reno, but that is not the point. They are very very friendly and have want we need - clean bathrooms and reasonably priced merchandise. This was a "Pit Stop" on our way from Reno to Utah and we get to the "any port in a storm" mentality. So after taking care of "nature" in the clean nice smelling bathroom, I brazenly filled up my water bottle with ice and water from the soda dispenser. Feeling guilty because I didn't actually BUY anything (no gas, no bottled water, no snack) I stopped at the counter and offered to pay for the drink. The lovely young lady said it was free. While I was standing there, my husband noticed they had car charging thingies that you can plug into the cigarette lighter for charging all your electronics. Naturally we had left the 18 previously purchased ones at home somewhere and our iPhones and iPads were running low from constantly searching for a signal in rural Nevada. He also decided he needed to buy a lovely "Austin" pin to add to his pin collection. I now feel completely absolved of all sins for mooching water and bathroom facilities. What makes it great, was how sweet and friendly the young lady working at the store was to two doddering old boomers. Makes me have faith in the future of America. read more

This is for the Champs Burgers. Best dang burger I've had (yes, I've probably tried the one you're going to mention). Price is a little steep, but it's totally worth it. If you are passing through (we try to plan camping routes so they do), absolutely stop and get one. Friendly folks, good service and awesome food. Fresh ingredients, great fries. Still 150 miles to go on a long road trip, and I noticed one of my tires was losing air. The owner and staff here were really nice and showed me a level concrete pad where I could park to change my tire. Much safer, easier, and much less stressful than doing it on the side of the road! We got to Austin about 8:30pm, thinking there would be something open for dinner. But no, there's a bar or two, but not much else. And the bar, or a business next door, had a large banner supporting the president and "make America great again." Well, it's already great, but I digress. So we got a snack here as well as enough gas to get us to Ely. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. The website doesn't work and is kind of confusing . I wanted to order Cheeseburgers so when you click on cheeseburger it say add cheese 2$ .. I'm like wait I'm already paying 12$ for a cheeseburger, lol. then if you wants onions it's a 1.50 more. and it doesn't give you the option to not have pickles, sauce etc on your burger. It does give you an option to call the restaurant which is actually the gas station and god forbid if you ask if you can order.. they get rude and hang up on you. The best fuel stop on Highway 50 in Austin. The gas pumps are always in good working order, fuel is spendy, but what do you expect you are in the middle of Nevada. They always have clean bathrooms and a good selection and variety of food and drink. read more

This is the only gasoline, diesel and convenience store in town and your only choice for miles and miles. However the staff is friendly and helpful, the restrooms are decently clean. Expect to pay more for things here but that's "supply and demand ". read more

I've been here several times on my way in and out on the Loneliest Highway. This is pretty much Last Chance Gas for a couple of hours, so fill 'er up and stock up on all the junk food that can keep you awake until you get to Fallon. Twice I've stopped here after spending a long weekend in the Big Smokey Valley helping a friend build a straw bale house and camping on her land. I arrive dirty and unwashed. I'm forever grateful to the teenaged girl who politely pointed out that I was wearing my shirt inside out and and my buttons were lopsided. Don't I look purty? We stopped here at about 9:59 the other night. We were so happy to see a gas station after driving down this long dark lonely road. The guy working was named "JOSE" and he was the friendliest person we met on our whole trip. He pulled out a map and gave us good directions and made us feel at ease about being in the middle of nowhere. Then he recommened the hotel next door and told us to come on over in the morning so we could he coffee. I waited in the car when my husband went in the next day and jose was waving out the window at me. great guy. read more
