If they could keep it to friendly PROFESSIONAL customer service and to the customer NEEDS, without the extra unnecessary talk that would be preferable because some comments can make customers feel uncomfortable.

The drive thru was backed up but it was late afternoon so that's kind of to be expected at most pharmacies. We waited for around twenty minutes for our prescription and then went about our way. Their counts were accurate (I always check) and the labels/bottles were clearly/correctly printed. It should be noted that this Amerimed also offers an array of other services including wheelchairs, railings, recliners that raise up and down, etc. I also saw an area for CPAP machines. It seems to be a one stop shop pharmacy and I would consider using them again in the future when I am in Valdosta.

I waited at the drive-through window for approximately ten minutes, and someone announced over the speaker that they would assist me shortly. I patiently passed the time by listening to YouTube. When the pharmacist eventually approached the window, I turned off my video and looked up, only to see him walk away and sit at a desk to shuffle papers. After a while, he abruptly stood up, approached the window, threw his hands up, and loudly asked, "Are you here to pick up a prescription?" It wasn't just the words he used but his tone and demeanor that were unprofessional. I affirmed that I was there to pick up a prescription. He then began speaking on the phone, but I couldn't hear him as the speaker wasn't on. It seemed he was frustrated that I had been watching YouTube despite it being a way to occupy my time while waiting. His body language and facial expressions conveyed his annoyance. We had to raise our voices to communicate since I couldn't hear him initially. I appreciate that Walgreens has a drive-through; it eliminates the need to stand in line, but if I have to wait in my car, I have the right to listen to music or YouTube to occupy my time. That is no reason for the pharmacist to convey annoyance. Except for this pharmacist the employees are consistently friendly and helpful.

Always being located on a corner spot, they are an easy in and out off the main road. The handicap parking is also very centrally located close to the doors which is not always the case. I am always pleased when I am properly greeted when I walk through the door. I am especially happy when a clerk or cashier look up from what they are doing to acknowledge a customer walking through the door. This store, like other Walgreens is big and bright with clean isles to navigate through. I needed a few items ranging from pharmaceutical to paper goods. They had plenty of items to choose from and I pleased that their house brand is a substantially reduced price and the same item. Check out went very quickly and I received the same cordial greeting as I left as when I came in. Kudos to a nice team here at Walgreens.

However, they only had half the script at the time and I wanted to know if they could please transfer it here so I wouldn't have to drive all the way to the other town. Now because I saw a Telemed doctor who IS in GA, the script shows up with the app's location, which is California. Unfortunately, a lot of small town pharmacies do not understand this part of technology and assume the doctor himself is in California. I was politely explaining this to the tech when the pharmacist barged over and began talking loudly with an attitude, telling me in a condescending tone, "This script came from California and I'm NOT filling it!" I am a very respectful person but I will not tolerate anyone speaking to me in that fashion. Knowing the law and technology very well, I would never ask a pharmacy to fill a script that is not within the law. I also know that it is at their discretion. But what I don't have to accept is someone talking down to me because they are ignorant of how technology works and speaking to me like I'm an uneducated scammer off the streets. I did let her know that she will not address me that way and that her attitude is very nasty. I then respectfully thanked the tech and walked out the store. Had she just listened for a moment, I had the doctor's phone number and GA license number with me to show her, as I'm used to this problem. Pharmacies also have a way to verify the doctor's state of licensure, but given her combative, loud and immediate nasty attitude it was not worth my time. I will just drive the 30 miles. At least at the Alma pharmacy, the pharmacist and his staff are polite and know how telemed apps work. I do NOT recommend this pharmacy.
