Todd gave us an upfront estimate to remove and repave our driveway. At the completion of the job,…read morehe told us he would be "back to seal coat it in three months after the surface had cured." We had no complaints about the work and his staff was very professional. However, when they showed up to seal the driveway, we were told there were additional costs. We were not informed that this seal coat was NOT included in total $8,500 that we had already paid him. We expressed this to Todd via phone. We felt this was deceptive and that was voiced to the foreman onsite. We weren't prepared for the additional costs but we paid what Todd told us was "cost". The following day Todd showed up at our house and yelled at Mrs Langford for questioning him and his integrity. He refunded the $$ we paid him for the seal coat. He stated that the $$ we paid him was "nothing to him." It is to us; we aren't wealthy people. Todd's conduct was totally unprofessional and unreasonable. If you question him about anything, you will be forced to deal with his temper. Simple communication UPFRONT was all that was required. Customers deserve that. True integrity doesn't show up at a customer's house and bully a female!

Fast forward to October these folks never ordered our countertops and now we learned that the countertops we wanted were discontinued. After talking with this place they offered a more expensive model by 2000 dollars! No apology no ownership of their mistake. DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM Set in stone! Runaway.

This job is still in progress as they did not bring all pieces of the backsplash for the initial…read moreinstallation. Have been trying to get a date for them to return and finish the job all week with no luck. I am also having to hire a handyman (thus, pay extra) to put address flaws that I believe could and should have been done by. There's a major gap in between the backsplash and the wall which Set in Stone claims is because my wall is curved (photo below). And while I don't doubt my wall has a curve, they didn't tell me this huge gap could be a possibility if I used a stone backsplash; I could have used tile, which they also sell. Plus, the handyman is going to remove the backsplash and shave some of the stone to fit the wall's curve better, something Set in Stone could and should have done. Shop around before going with these folks. I do love the counter surface material I got from them, however.

Less than 12 hours of my initial call to the company Tony had an expert roofer meet me at my home after I gut off work to do an inspection. The expert then explained to me what needed to be done and how they planned to do it if hired. All this before I even gave a dime or agreed to hire them. Tony set up an appointment with me at his office. He didn't sit me down with anyone he sat down with me himself. He offered a very fair and reasonable price. Afterwards the roof doctors showed up on the scheduled date and were clean predicting and EXTREMELY fast due to their system and economy of work. My plants and yard were not harmed in the process and they even CLEANED MY GUTTERS which was not in the scope of work just did it as a courtesy.
