They over prescribed sera toning uptake meds for me, asked to get a mammogram script which the required another appointment after I had seen them 3 times in the last 6 months. I requested to have the fasting blood draw in the morning for this final appointment because I needed the test and the appointment was not until the afternoon. They refused. Then I arrived literally 12 minutes late. They said I couldn't been seen. No where on their website does it stat the late time. I talked to other doctors who said their policy is 15 minutes. I will not recommend this office. Furthermore who has a doctors office where it is literally impossible to leave a direct message to their doctor.

The manager was speaking with the lady at the front desk then when it was my chance to check in I was late for the appointment and couldn't be seen. This system is broken they could have seen me if they wanted to help but they chose to take the more convenient path for them. My whole life I've felt like and inconvenience to every doctor I've spoken to and this really hasn't helped.

I found them through google. Unfortunately I went to the wrong address .... I went to the IRMO address. The wrong IRMO address. My appointment was at 8 am. I was 15 min early. So ..... when I went to sign in the lady at the desk told me I didn't have an appointment. I asked her ..."is this Lex Family Practice?" She said yes. I asked her is there another Lex Family Practice. She said NO. So confused I called the phone number I had when I made the appointment. But ... by that time .... it was 8 am and all calls were still being answered by the phone service. I waited 5 min ... call back. and still the phone service answered. So I started driving home. Frustrated and upset I finally was able to reach the Lex Family Practice in Irmo ... the Ballentine one. 10 min after 8. I asked the girl who answered the phone why didn't she tell me that there were 2 Lexington Family Practices in IRMO when I made the appointment. She told me that I was the first person that she knew of to make that mistake. I didn't make a mistake. I looked up on line a family practice that was close to my office. It gave me Lex Family Practices with the Ballentine phone number and directions to St. Andrews Rd. I WOULD AVOID BOTH PLACES. IF FIRST IMPRESSIONS MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU ... LOOK ELSEWHERE. I have come here for urgent care a few times, but this time it was for ortho. The building was…read moreclean and welcoming, and the front staff was super helpful and directed me to the right suite. I love the big circles and the open stairs. I was able to locate the office and check in without any issues. The appointment was well done and was not delayed wihch was very nice, as well. Leaving was easy; no one was standing around lost, and there was smooth traffic flow. Not anyone waiting long for anything, nice. The X-ray tech was very nice and helpful with me and getting my shoulder proctioned iwth out hurting it.

Dismissed Without Testing and Misled About MRI Availability - Poor Care at Lexington Medical Center…read more I went to the emergency room at Lexington Medical Center due to severe hip pain, expecting a proper evaluation. What I received instead was rushed, dismissive care and no real attempt to diagnose the issue. Dr. Stephen E. Kostelic, MD did not order any tests--not even basic imaging or lab work. When I asked about getting an MRI to understand what was causing the pain, I was told the hospital "does not do MRIs" which was shocking and unclear. No further explanation was given, and I was left confused and untreated. Despite running no diagnostic tests at all, I was still given a prescription and discharged. I left with the same pain I arrived with and absolutely no answers. This experience was frustrating, careless, and unacceptable. Being handed medication without any testing is not real care--it's dismissal. If you're in pain and hoping for actual help, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. If I could give this place zero stars I would.
