Chapters is a mega bookstore with a Starbucks cafe inside and attached to the Crystal Palace amusement park. Chapters is very similar to the Barnes & Noble Booksellers chain in the USA, most locations there offering Starbucks too. This Chapters store is pretty well organized and offers a great selection of books, literature, guides, and magazines, plus a limited selection of music & movies, games, cards, house warming gifts, candles, and soaps. There are also discount book tables too, plenty of kids books and hockey history books. I like the selection of local history books of New Brunswick and the Maritimes here. As a shopper from the USA, I immediately notice many titles in stock have two prices: US and Canada (higher). Those titles I'll only browse, make notes, and wait until I get back to the states for the lower prices and sales taxes. If I absolutely wanted the book immediately and couldn't wait, then I would suck it up and buy it. Chapters is a pleasant Canadian chain that has an excellent selection of books, magazines and kids books and toys! As this is a chain you could come in blindfolded and if you didn't know what city you were in your could claim that the stores follow a good code as they all appear quite similar! What we came here however for was the Starbucks to get our java fix! I did stop in the kids selection to get my daughter a gift and they had a very good selection of books, toys and kids art supplies. It's important that a nice bookstore is organized, clean and bright. Chapters does a pretty good job of all of those items. Pricing can be a bit higher than amazon.ca but they do have decent real estate size and I'm sure it is the taxes that dictate that! read more
