He is attentive, thorough, sincere, supportive and detail oriented. He is a great listener, observant and was cautious with every aspect of my Mom's health and well being. He was kind, helpful and engaged with our family and motivated to utilize all of the latest technology at his fingertips give my Mom the greatest outcome he could. He even came in to check on my Mom post surgery during her hospital stay on his day off, which meant the world to us and spoke volumes of his character and commitment as a physician. He and his PA, Chris, were positive and encouraging for my mother during the post operative process and really built a relationship with her, giving each of her concerns thoughtful care and staying committed to her at each step. He is a excellent down to earth Dr. Not only is he a Great Dr. But he comes off as being a wonderful Man. He was very happy to hear how I was doing. I couldn't be luckier to have had him as my surgeon. Very good at what he does. Since my 2nd one I've had this year the last one was July 12th so he needed to do new x-rays and told me the screws he put in are doing great. I didn't know that the screws they use have holes in them to allow the bone to grow into the screw over time. The staff is always very friendly as well. I won't have to go back now for another 4 months to be checked again. If your in the Asheville area make sure you see him!!

Today is October 12, 2020 and I just completed my post-op on my eight trigger finger release surgery. At the same time I also had carpal tunnel surgery on the same hand. I am sure that my case might be most unusual indeed. However, these multiple surgeries allow me to make a qualified evaluation of my experience with Dr. Minkin. Post surgery after 3 nights in hospital: Specifically…read moreregarding Dr. Christopher Lindsay and the other doctors and nurses in the OR prep and the OR. I do not advise going home day after surgery. The pain is even harder to manage the first week after surgery than before which had been impossible. They can use medication in the hospital that will not go home with you, and it took that to keep me from crying out in pain. After 3 days, I went home and still took pain medicine before it was time for another dose. My pain simply didn't follow the 4 hour time frame. I followed all directions except taking another does occasionally prior to 4 hours. Sometime before my 2 week check up, I was finally pain free after decades of chronic pain. I don't think that is necessarily totally normal, but it is a welcome change. The worst part of postoperative pain was hip, above knees, and top front groin area of my thighs. That pain was horrible and really hard to manage, so to have relief is incredible to me. I'm extremely grateful. The entire surgical staff at Advent were amazing They knew I was already in extreme pain when I arrived. The made me feel safe and like I mattered. I would definitely choose Dr. Christopher and all of the other doctors who took care of me and kept me calm.

Dr. Karegeannes is preventing me from seeing Dr. Hankley unless I make appointments with him, allowing him to collect insurance payments and co-pays. Imagine a doctor preventing you from seeing your doctor unless you see them and pay them first! The practice is investigating and I'm contacting the NC AG office as well.

First appt- after arriving early per the office's request, I wanted long after my scheduled appt time and finally had to leave as the surgeon never showed up. Rescheduled my appt for 2 weeks out and received a message that the surgeon had a meeting to attend and she would not make my appointment and they needed to reschedule. I understand things come up but this office has no concern for their patients time, no empathy or regard that their patients also have lives outside of the ortho office! I'd suggest you find another physician that cares about you and your time! (For what it's worth, this seems to be a pretty common thread here! A little communication would go a long way!!)

Dr…read more Hall ignored the reports from physical therapy stating I was not progressing as I should; stating they were "hitting a hard stop." By ignoring the reports from PT the opportunity for a manipulation was lost. Went and saw surgeon at Wake Forest today to learn there is no hope of improvement. Prior to surgery I was on 1 medication since surgery l am on muscle relaxers and pain meds for constant pain and spasms, 2 antidepressants, medication for sleep and medication for an ulcer due to all the NSAIDS and other meds. Worst decision of my life. Crippled at 54!
