I am a teacher for CCSD and have experience at other daycares in the area, none compare to Chesterbrook! Ms. Tiffany is a principal that truly cares for every child that walks in the door and knows how to run a school for the well-being of children. She is frequently in the various classrooms helping where she can, setting a visible standard for all teachers and can aid in tantrum/boundaries like a pro. It is obvious she is knowledgeable in childhood development and knows that doing HER job of supporting the teachers, will allow them to be the best they can be for our kids. This then leads me to say that the teachers at this school are also outstanding! If you want your toddler to be able learn age-appropriate boundaries but still have an environment where adults show grace, teach coping skills and allow kids to explore, then this is your daycare. My daughter comes home covered in dirt and paint but has also learned to wait her turn, say "excuse me" to adults, share with peers and now has the social emotional skills to calm herself down in a tantrum. Every day I picked him up and he was sitting alone in the corner. The staff was not very friendly or personable. Not the best experience. I've heard several similar stories from other people, as well. I've read its changed since my son went, so hopefully, that is true and they made some major changes.

Truly the most horrible experience I have ever had! Please avoid this place if you have little…read moreones. My son came close to drowning due to instructor negligence. I had to run in and pull him out of the water because his instructor's back was turned the majority of the class time to my son and another male student, only focused on one female student. The instructor put my son on the edge and when he could not pull himself out he fell in the water which was over his head. He is 3!! He could not touch and was under water. I ran in from the watching area, had to open a door and go inside and still made it to him faster than anyone in the pool. I asked for cameras to be reviewed so this does not happen to any other children but they said there are not cameras in that area. My son is now traumatized around water. If you have older ones who can touch then you might be okay here but if you have little ones run for their own safety!!!

Mrs. Dayna, her husband Coach David, and their entire family are truly amazing people who genuinely care about the children. They have never missed a school pickup and are open on teacher workdays, unlike some other after-school centers. Outside of the school year, my child also attends their summer program, which is wonderful. Every single day they have planned activities for the kids, so you never have to worry about them sitting around doing nothing. I get paid twice a month, and it has never been an issue if I needed to make a late payment because of my pay schedule. Once I explain my situation, they are always understanding and willing to work with me. Not once have I ever felt that my child was unsafe while in their care. Even during field trips, I know she is always well looked after. I highly recommend Holy City to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and reliable after-school program. Office manager Jerrica is professional, helpful, and responsive. Jerrica has helped correct billing issues where I was overcharged, and helped cover-up the errors made by the CSS owner. (Example, when the owner came out to my house to view my pool at the wrong time, the owner blamed Jerrica for messing up her schedule. I know this was not Jerrica's fault, but at no point did Jerrica blame the owner.) However, this one star review is a reflection of the company itself and its sketchy business practices, most recently an illegal breach of contract imposed by the owner. The Pool Partner contract does not have a termination date, but does have a 90-day clause for property managers to terminate. I received an email stating that my pool partner contract was going to be cancelled: An egregious violation of their terms stated in their agreement. When I pointed this out (with documentation, along with dates of other billing, and communication issues) the owner cancelled my baby's swim lessons effective immediately. I suspect she may have been offended because I bolded each time she was supposed to reach out (such as to provide a copy of CSS' Certificate of Insurance) and she did not respond back. Again I highly recommend the instructors, but sadly the owner has no business accumen which creates a headache to be a backup pool partner. Use the instructors, talk to the office manager, but beware of sketchy business practices.
