There's no trash on the floor or anything immediately icky like that, but the trash cans are consistently overfilled. They barely replace their towel dispensers and sanitizing spray bottles. I get the front desk girls not doing it cause they have to man the front desk (maybe it's not in their job description), so they should hire some type of part time cleaner or something. Only about 5% of people take their weights off of the machines after they are done using them. It makes it hard for my 5'2" wife to take 4 plates off of the smith machine. It's frustrating for me to watch her struggle while I'm in the middle of doing something else. So I stop what I'm doing to help her because of everyone else's laziness. Which is awesome! It's 80% of the plate loaded machines that have this issue. They've had signs saying they are going to do something about it but never do. The adjustable benches are missing the knobs to make them adjustable and it's been this way for 6 months. I think the knobs cost 2.50. The bathrooms ALWAYS need attention. It's just not a good gym anymore. So many better options that are upkept. If you have an extra 20 minutes of time to spend at the gym, and doing free work for other lazy people doesn't bother you then maybe this is a good place for you.

Their business model is to sign up as many people and make sure they don't actually get results....and it's working. Planet Fitness has 20.8 million members and only 2700 locations. If every member actually atteneded there would be almost 7500 persons per gym. if just 5% attended there wouldn't be any equiptment not in use. Their $15 teaser membership gets you in and then you never attend because their equiptment is not adequate for the resluts we all want. No benches, no squat racks, no jump ropes, etc....
