Just a few things she definitely didn't learn from us: -"agua," "buh bye," "night night" -"all done" with sign language too -the sign for "milk" She also gets so much exercise and outdoor time on the play area and has learned how to climb up and push herself down the slide. We love that the app keeps us updated with photos and other events throughout the day (all food, diapers, naps). The staff also keep us updated if there are any sicknesses going around or if the group is going through anything challenging (like the biting phase!) and what they are doing to address it. Now that our baby is eating solids we love the convenience of all of her meals and milk being provided (included in the cost!). The meals are well-rounded and it's so cute that they all eat together at a table! I think it encourages my baby to eat more when she sees her friends doing so. We also love that they keep the cohort together and how the teachers move along with the kids from room to room as they grow. I am not sure if this will continue into preschool, but just having Miss Mariela from the infant to toddler phase has been a true blessing for us. I can't tell you how many times I have showed my mom friends the app or told them about the things AOP offers and they say "wow my daycare doesn't do all that!" It takes a village to raise kids these days. The first part is finding that village, and the second is finding one to love your baby like family. We have found that in AOP. They truly care about your child like their own

The staff there is so caring and thoughtful when we drop her off in the morning we know she is loved and well taken care of there. They are so easy to communicate with and so incredibly helpful. For months we tried at home to have her wear shoes and she would absolutely refuse, after her teachers trying for a few days straight they DID IT. She now LOVES shoes and its such a relief. I would recommend BunnyBears to everyone looking for a daycare in La Mesa. They are the best.

To say we have loved and appreciated our time at BunnyBears is an understatement! We feel so fortunate to have found BunnyBears and had the opportunity to include them in our village. The love our kids felt each day when we dropped them off really set our hearts and minds at ease, and it was such a joy to see them playing happily with their friends and teachers each day when we picked them up. Communication with Katie and all of the teachers was prompt and very helpful - we always felt like we knew exactly what was going on during the day, and loved the picture updates. Our kids were never lacking in one-on-one or small group time with their teachers, and each teacher really took the time and put in the effort to form special individual bonds with all of the kids. Both kids felt very prepared - socially and emotionally - for their transitions to preschool, and our almost 5 year old sometimes tells me she wishes she could go back to "tiny school" to see the teachers that she loves.

The care that she provides for the children there is second to none. She has a curriculum that helps kids learn what is necessary for them to succeed once they arrive in kindergarten. There is a lot of play and activities that encourage social interaction amongst the children to help with social skills. She provides well balanced meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, plenty of fruits and veggies and no candy. She communicates very well with parents and sends daily updates and photos to parents about their children. I would absolutely recommend this daycare to anyone.

She is our first child, and it was difficult to think about leaving her with someone outside of the family, but our parents live in other parts of the state and we both work. We visited several daycare facilities before choosing Ms. Irma. When we met her we were immediately attracted to her warmth, responsibility, genuine care for children, and decades of experience. Looking back now, I'm so glad we made the choice to go with Ms. Irma. She is so consistent. This was very important for us; we had tried nanny shares in the past and so many nannies would cancel because they were sick or had obligations with their own children, or other reasons. Not Ms. Irma. In the two years we have been there, I can't remember a single day when Ms. Irma has closed unexpectedly. She has a schedule of standard holidays that are off and couple of weeks for the winter holiday, but other than that she is open every day. So reliable. Ms. Irma works incredible hard. Honestly I don't know how she does it, I wish I was as hard working as her. She is open early in the morning (7am) until 5pm in the afternoon. You can drop off and pick up your child anytime within that window. Healthy meals are provided with no extra cost to the family (again such as big plus for us bc our family is very busy and not having to worry about packing lunch is so helpful). Her space is always clean and orderly. She has a very high standard of cleanliness and wants it to be safe for the children. The days are well planned. There is free play, circle time, arts and crafts, lunch, nap time, etc. My daughter has learned so much at daycare (she calls it "school"). She has learned her abc's, to count beyond 30, to rhyme words, to spell her name, to read sight words, sounds associated with letters, and now she is learning to write letters and to blend sounds together to make words. She is now in love with reading. Ms. Irma takes the children through a structured curriculum and they are always doing a unit on something interesting--from famous artists to the life cycle of different insects--our daughter has come to understand a lot about the world that we haven't had a chance to talk about yet at home. The children also do an arts and crafts project each day and everyday my daughter proudly brings home something she has made. Ms. Irma treats my daughter as a member of her family and she tries to foster a sense of community among all the families who send their children to her daycare. She is trustworthy, honest, and loving. Thanks for everything Ms. Irma!

We feel like our kiddo has learned a lot about community and herself. There are some downsides, as there are everywhere. I don't love the location, right off a busy road, and there's been some teacher turnover, but the school feels really safe behind gates, with a lovely outdoor play area, and there's been a lot of continuity with other teachers. This school is exactly that - they put so much effort into giving the kids freedom to figure out who they are and explore their interests, all while teaching them how to be good friends and kind little humans. This is not a traditionally structured preschool - you won't find worksheets or desks, but you will find a Reggio style environment that intentionally allows the kids to lead. No school is perfect, but it's clear the teachers are all trying their best to create a safe and open environment for the kids. Teacher Donna, Teacher Linnea, and all the other teachers, have had a huge impact on my son, and we can't thank them enough. We'll miss the sweet little BunnyBears community!

Several daycares/preschools in the region claim to be Spanish immersion but aren't actually (e.g., they speak English to the kiddos). At Lulus, I feel like we get a truly authentic Spanish immersion program for our son, knowing instruction is exclusively in Spanish. And it shows. My son 100% understands Spanish when it is spoken to him and he mixes Spanish and English in his vocabulary regularly. I credit Lulus for a large part of that bilingual ability and look forward to seeing his fluency improve in the years to come. Highly recommend Lulus!!
