This is my first time coming to this cleaners. I dropped off my shirt on Tuesday and was told to come back on Friday to pick up. I just received my shirt and I let the lady/owner ‍ know while she was ringing me up that I still see stains on the shirt... the exact ones I pointed out to you when I dropped it off. She stated I told you when you dropped it off that the stains would not come out. I said you told me that the stains would not come out? She said yes and was very offensive about it. Who in their right mind would leave the shirt there if they fully knew that the shirt would not be cleaned? This is my first and definitely my last time bringing any service to this shop. Oan: When I dropped the shirt off she never even inspected the shirt. She was so quick to give me a ticket and to go back to the back. However before she rung my service up I pointed out several stains on the shirt. She told me this is dry cleaning. I said what does that mean (because I was not understanding due to the fact I am taking it to a dry cleaning place)? So I asked can you clean this shirt and the lady stated yes. So again who would leave their items if the service can't be done. read more

I have used Charlie's Cleaners several times and for the most part, their work has been satisfactory. However, this time was something very different. First, my pants had no starch ,but I let this go since we only like light-medium starch anyway. My beige jacket was an entirely different case. I noticed a rust-looking stain when I pulled it out of the plastic. This stain was NOT on my jacket when I turned it in to be cleaned. If so, I would have definitely pointed it out before leaving. When I took it back today, the person who I'm assuming is the owner, told me that it couldn't have happened there because they don't have anything to make stains such as this one. I told her that it had to because the jacket had no stains before. I've only worn this jacket three times and it is now ruined. It's basically my word against hers, but her whole attitude about it was the main issue. She was very dismissive and did not even attempt to make this right. She just went back to doing what she was doing without an ounce of caring. I'm sure she won't close down from the loss of having our business, but we will most definitely not be returning. read more

The finished product is great...when they don't bleach your clothes, mix them with other orders, and only if they can find your stuff in a timely manner. ATE UP. I understand mistakes happen...that's why I gave them a second chance. But today, most of my clothes were mislabeled and mixed with another person's order. Did I get an apology? NOPE. Instead, the owner's son tried joking that: 1. I "have the worst luck" when I come there; 2. All I lost was "five minutes"; 3. and "it could have been worse". Nah son....wrong response from someone who is dependent on customers like me. The first time I used this place, they dropped bleach all over a very expensive piece of clothing. They did reimburse me, but it should have never come to that. How do you accidentally drop some bleach on a shirt? Again, the finished product is the best. The service at this place is unacceptable! I patronized this cleaners for over a year and the service declined tremendously over time. They lost my $220 blazer and the attendant refused to even search for it. On several occasions my shirts were returned with stains on them and buttons broken off. The attendant is extremely rude Additionally, I asked for a printout of my receipts for tax purposes and they refused; stating "you should have saved your receipts". Needles to say I have moved on to another cleaners and would never recommend Charlie's cleaners to anyone. read more

Been with cleaners about not because they good, out of convenience. Recently dropped off five pairs of pants two shirts received 4 pairs back and two shirts. Did check prior yes appeared to be there through all hangers a plastic. Talked to owner she would not look for them especially not reimbursed. She kept saying and pointing to conveyer belt contraption stating it should be there. Don't go here! read more

I would give NO Stars. They donated our brand new clothes because we didn't pick them up within 30 days. No phone reminder and we didn't know there was a 30 day pickup until she pointed it out on the ticket. They had been there for a while but a phone reminder would have been nice as the ticket was lost. We will go back to Vogue who have been awesome. read more

This is some of the worst customer service in all of Augusta. When I asked to speak to a manager, the lady behind the counter told me in a very nasty tone that she was the manager. I put up with them because they were the closest dry cleaners to my home. No more! I had too many issues with the manager. Including, her telling me not to pick up my clothes at 5 mins before closing. read more

I've used these folks several times and was never very impressed but today I went to take a pair of dress white pants out of the closet and noticed a big stain on the thigh area that 100% was not there when I took them in for cleaning (looked like a spill of some sort). I thought I'd just take them back to get redone and when I arrived the lady was texting while I stood directly in front of her (only me in the store) and after standing there for 30 seconds she holds up a finger telling me to wait a minute! After she finally got off the phone she said that the pants were done at the other location and I would have to take them over there... this is the same company. They have two locations... if I have to return a product, i don't have to take it back to the specific Walmart or target I bought it from. It's all the same company... never again will I use either location. read more

I've been using these guys for approximately a year now (convenient). Service is decent, nothing to rave about. Over time I noticed several of my shirt sleve vent buttons were being ripped off during the cleaning/pressing process. I mentioned it to the owner and he vehemently denied that their process was the cause. I begged to differ and explained that the buttons were intact prior to bringing them in. In fact a couple of the shirts had never been worn. Ultimately he agreed to sew on a replacement free of charge but warned that he wouldn't in the future if it occurred again. There won't be a next time. Guess it's back to Total Force, where they acknowledge responsibility and replace button free of charge. Wish I could give these jokers 0 stars! IJS. read more

Terrible dry cleaners!!! They snagged, stained, and double creased a brand new pair of pants that I had only worn once. After four trips to their cleaners, I finally gave up. The owner was loud, obnoxious, & arrogant. He even tried to convince me that the manufacturer (Dockers) put the original crease in the wrong place, and his employees put their crease in the correct place. I also took in some dress shirts (I asked for medium starch). They starched the body, but did not press the sleeves or collars. I will never go there again and would never recommend them! read more

This was my first dry cleaner experience in my area. They partnered with my apartment building so I figured why not use them. I went online to fill out the form for pick up and delivery on a Tuesday, left my clothes outside of my apartment until Friday when they were finally picked up. I didn't get an email confirmation, a phone call, a note or anything. But on Wednesday of the following week I knew they had my clothes because of the charge on my credit card. They advertise a few days after pick up that your clothes with arrive back, nice and clean. My clothes were gone for two weeks - when I tried to contact I either got a voicemail or hung up on. After a day of trying to call someone, a woman finally told me my clothes would arrive the next day. They didn't and I called again, furious, and the woman told me there was nothing she can do that day. I offered to go pick up my clothes, meet the driver, pay extra money or anything because I needed my clothes for an interview. She mentioned the driver could deliver my clothes late night if I really needed them. I bit, and said 10-11pm would be ok. 11 rolled around - nothing. 11:15pm - nothing. Finally I laid in bed. At 11:45 I received a cal that my clothes were waiting outside. It was nice they did that, but this shouldn't have had to happen. They also didn't return my $200 dress shirt and when I called they told me they'd call right back, joking at my misfortune. I heard nothing that day, called back the next and was hung up on until I called back again and again until someone answered. They told me they're still looking and need a week to find my shirt. A week... I'll never be using this service again. I'll be updating this review on the status of my lost shirt and how they handle it. read more

I only gave this place a 1 star because I wouldn't be able to write this review. I'd like to caveat my post by saying that I fully understand that services can go awry at times, but THIS...is unacceptable. I dropped off my military uniform and 2 suit jackets for my wife on a Wednesday afternoon. The cashier told me that it would be ready on Saturday. I went back on Saturday afternoon (08APR) to pick up my clothes at which time, the same lady flippantly states that it's not ready yet and promptly hands my pick up receipt back to me. I go back today (10APR) and the lady takes 5 minutes to search for my clothes. She comes back with some young kid who tells me that they had to send one of my wife's blazers off because it was ruined! I asked "was this why my clothes weren't ready on Saturday (08APR)? The guy says yeah. I asked where her jacket was sent and when will it be ready? He said "sometime this week." My wife was going to wear that jacket to an important event this Friday (14APR). I told him "no man, you have to better than that, when will it be ready?" He said that he doesn't know. I said have my jacket here by Thursday and call me when it gets here (fuming). I also told him to call me when it gets here like they should have done on Saturday to tell me that my clothes weren't ready (save me a trip..common service courtesy). This clown has the nerve to tell me that "nothing is perfect," pretty much telling me that "shit happens!" A little remorse and urgency in fixing the problem would have kept me from writing this review. As previously stated, I am a military man stationed at an adjacent installation. I know a lot of people on my small post which I am absolutely positive accounts for the gross majority of their business. As a man of integrity, how could I idly sit back and let them screw my buddies clothes up, lol. Time to spread the world. Augusta, GA businesses are bass ackwards. read more
