Shyla did not wash out my color well, didn't get my edges well with the color, gave me a terrible blowout and was racist saying things like "no girl, they should learn English, we were here first" talking about how many people speak Spanish in Odessa. Her station was a mess too. The color turned out good where it was but I had to shower when I got home there was so much color on the nape of my neck. I could go back and have her fix it but she said so many weird things about "Mexicans being rude" I don't want to sit in her chair again. It's rent a booth so the salon itself isn't the issue when it's personal stylists. read more

Absolutely love my hair. I went to Dacia and she did phenomenal. Also I got a mimosa that was delicious. I don't think it took long at all I have long hair and it's thin-ish, I was in and out in about 3 hours. Dacia did a great job, was extremely professional and I will definitely be going back! Per my wife: * Please note: I've rated one star, but would have rated zero stars, if I had the ability to do so. * I booked with Kassie, the owner of this salon. Let's just say this is one of those horrible experience stories. After showing her what I wanted, she was very confident that she could achieve it. Throughout the coloring process, I didn't notice anything too unusual; however mid-way through my hair, she takes a personal phone call on her cell phone. Unprofessional. After she had finished putting the color onto my hair, she put me under the dryer. As I was under there, she was speaking to another employee about my hair and how "nervous" I was about going darker. Very rude and unprofessional. I confronted her with this, as it made me feel embarrassed and unwelcome. She assured that she wasn't talking about me, rather concerned about me and my overall experience with her salon. Whatever. As we washed the color out, and begin drying, my HAIR WAS PURPLE. My roots were HOT and bright and there was a distinct line of where my previous highlights had grown out. She tried to fix it, and we managed to "settle" for the end result. She said we couldn't possibly "fix" this (her mistake, I may add) in one day. Finally, I paid her, gave her a hefty tip, and left. I told her I would be in touch to fix the problems in my hair that I disliked. She agreed to this, and even gave me her card. Today, I reached out to her. She refuses to touch my hair, and just proves that this owner is after one thing - your money. She does NOT stand behind her work, and refuses to fix her mistakes! This was such an easy hair color to achieve, and I honestly wish she would have been straight-forward about not being able to do it. It is very disappointing. I had my hair done by Maryssa on June 26th. I was in the process of lightening my hair from it being dark and she ensured me that she would be able to do the color correction and to just even me out before I attempted to go any lighter down the road. The day of my appointment she showed up 30 min late, things happen so I understood & wasn't too concerned. What was upsetting was not only did She bleach & soak my shirt , but she completely fried my very long hair to the point of no repair and said nothing about it to me.. I didn't realize it until I left after paying her $300. I now can only wash it once a week, and it completely snaps and breaks off and I'm left with piles of hair each time. I had to go somewhere else to have it all cut off. I will have to just wait for it to grow out. I'm pretty upset about my hair because this all could have been avoided if she was more knowledgeable. When doing hair, you have to pay attention to the integrity of your clients hair.. I'm sure with more experience, (being shes only been doing hair professionally for 4 months) she will be a great hair dresser one day, but honestly she has no business doing color corrections in a professional setting. She needs to spend time shadowing someone more experienced. This lies on the owner to take more seriously since several people are coming forward complaining making this business look BAD. read more

Get with my girl Porsha, she's amazing and very flexible for appointments. She is very knowledgeable and honest with you. I've been going to her for over a year now, and that's because I live an hour away. Anna the makeup artist does an amazing jaw dropping job. The lady that cut my hair was very friendly and talkative and I really liked her personally. However, i have to say I was not thrilled that I did not find out until I was in the chair that she did not use clippers at all and could not use them to clean up my Pixie hair cut. I really wanted the cut just DONE because my hair was driving me insane (plus I had waited well over two hours to actually get it started past what I'd originally been told) so I said she could just get it done with just scissors. A few days after the cut I realized there were multiple spots on the back of my head that were very uneven and much longer than others. I called to ask if someone else could help just clean it up for me and the response I got was that very few people here do *MENS HAIRCUTS* and the one person that does is usually really over booked. While I appreciate the friendliness of the lady that did my hair while I was there, I don't really appreciate that my short hair is now considered a "men's hair cut" when it comes to capability but I did not pay "mens hair cut" prices. Further, the fact that short hair on a woman is considered a "man's haircut" in a salon is really NOT ok. Additionally, I have noticed that my hair dye is a bit spotty. The spotty I'd be ok with if not for the rest of this. Overall, I think this place needs to reevaluate some of its practices and train some of its staff on a) the fact that many women have short hair, b) using clippers does not automatically make it a "man's hair cut", c) calling it that is very offensive and d) maybe get some more people who can use clippers. I will not be returning despite the overall good personality of the lady I saw. This place is not for me. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I came in for a shampoo, cut and blow dry. I was charged $67 to leave with the flattest hair ever. I don't know why they have students working on your hair and neglect to tell you that once you're in the chair because now you feel like a Karen when you say something. To me, a blow dry is with a round brush to add volume and body to your hair. It took me almost 2 hours to have my hair look like a 12 year old did it. I expressed multiple times what I had wanted and was cheated out of my hard earned money for a sloppy job like this. Do not come here! read more

I messaged Maryssa before I went to the salon to see if it could be done to my hair. She said she COULD do it. June 30 i went into Charm Beauty Saloon in Odessa TX to get my hair done after Maryssa rescheduling five times. I had told her to dye my hair blonde, and she did not listen and used bleach. She put the bleach in my hair and she put me under the heat lamp and closed the door and went and talked with her friends for at least 30 minutes. I could hear my hair sizzling. We got finished and I went to the mirror and it looked nothing like the picture and it was burnt. I asked Maryssa what we could work out to fix my hair at least five times very politely, and everytime she said she would not work anything out. I gave her fifty out of the 180 and left so that I could contact her boss, Kassandra Castillo. I called Kassie and she said she would not help me. I went home that night and chunks of hair came out of my head. My hair color now is the same as when I went in, but with so much less hair. Maryssa posted on Facebook my name, address, and pictures of me. I have also gotten at least 8 of her "friends" to send me hate mail on Facebook and Instagram. Finally I had enough and contacted Kassie and she took 180 off the credit card so now I have over paid 50 dollars. I messaged Maryssa for the 50 dollars back, and she will not return it. This is theft of hair and money. Since then they (Maryssa and Kassie) have been sending letters to my home and also my workplace. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. Text messaged and scheduled an appointment with COZY 1 week in advanced. I drove all the way from Midland to find out she forgot about the appointment and that she was not coming in for me. This was going to be the first time I ever lighten my hair so this meant a lot to me. I told her it was fine, I used to forget things all the time when I was pregnant but as a hairstylist(barber), myself, I would have still gone in, especially since my client came from another town. You can use pregnancy as an excuse to forget but still not coming in after remembering and finding out I'm here waiting for you is really shitty. read more

I've had several Brazilian blowout done on my hair and no other has lasted as long and felt better than the one Kassie did. She took her time, made sure I was comfortable and was absolutely friendly.
