Caprice is owned and run by the multi-talented Kelly. She occasionally has an assistant on hand but sometimes it's just her so it's best to call ahead of time and book an appointment. Kelly has been doing my shellac manicures for about a year now. The prices are very reasonable: 25-30 dollars and about five dollars cheaper than the same service at Jade and Opal nail salons in Yarraville. Her shellac rarely chips and stays on a lot longer than at some other places. I can usually go three weeks between reapplications when I've been to Caprice. A few months ago I went home to the US and got an amazing haircut for 35 dollars. I just couldn't stomach the idea of paying 75-80 for the same (usually subpar) service in Melbourne so when Kelly told me that her haircuts were priced at 30-40 I reckoned I had to give it a go. SO happy that I did. At Caprice the hair wash is optional, which is partly why the price is so low. A blow dry is still included and Kelly spends quite a long time making sure my hair looks good. She doesn't rush through the process. I've now had two haircuts here and they've both looked phenomenal. My partner usually prefers me with my hair up but he likes my Caprice cuts so much that he's been requesting I leave it down: A first in our six years together! There are two other salons down the street that both charge 70 dollars for a simple cut. I can't imagine that they'd be any better than the cuts on offer over at Caprice. The extra forty bucks probably goes to a complimentary latte and a five minute shampoo. No thanks. For price and quality you can't beat this place.

Walked out bleeding and crying with the worst nails I have ever gotten. Every nail is a different chunky thickness, shape and length. Acrylic is all over my skin and under my nails which is burning my open wounds. All Star Nails is an incredibly friendly, professional and clean space to get yo' nails did. Most recently I walked in off the street late in the afternoon and requested a shellac manicure. I was immediately seated, offered a bottle of water and one of the friendly gals got to work. EFFICIENCY! My nails are still crisp and clean, one week later with absolutely no signs of impending chips. The pedicures are just as speedy but equally as relaxing. Lay back in one of their giant, massaging seats and forget your worries and your cares. But what reflects most about the All Star ladies are their customers. Every time I have popped in, they always seem to have local ladies coming in and out, asking about the manicurists children or requesting "the usual".
