That said, you will look good and be able to see yourself in the mirror after. Firstly Jonathan, the owner is, to say the least, eccentric. You will hear his life story with a wonderful smile and at the end he will recommend frames for you that are just perfect. He seems to have a total handle on style and knows whats in and out. You cannot go wrong with him. The experience with the testing was also wonderful. The optician (whose name I've sadly forgotten) spent over an hour testing my eyes and noted a decade long error in my prescription all while my partner was engaged in a (very long) conversation with Jonathan. I ended up buying two pairs of glasses with high index lenses for around £1000 and three month's supply of 'toric' contact lenses. I been using them ever since and people have (for the first time ever) noticed how good they looked! This place has my full and hearty recommendation!

Being a smaller company, they are personable and helpful. We've been happy with the glasses, and have never had a quality issue. Their selection is adequate, with a good range of quality and prices. Definitely worth a visit! Parking is available in the Sainsbury's parking lot next door - if you don't get caught! Otherwise parking in the area is restricted until about 6:30pm. Anyhoo, once you're taken into the consultation room all the opticians I've dealt with here have been friendly and efficient, which is exactly what you want. Plenty of gadgets to take pics of the back of your eye and check for glaucoma etc too. Upstairs there's a wide selection of frames and the woman who helped me choose my latest pair was brilliant. She didn't just tell me I looked good in all of them but seemed to give me honest pointers instead, and specifically helped me hunt around for frames suited to my ridiculously thick lenses. She could tell I was tempted to go for some bigger hipster frames that were quite different to my old pair, and I'm so glad she gave me the confidence to take a chance on them as I'm really pleased with the result!
