I've always loved going to see Dr. Chen, but today's visit requires an update: First of all, his office staff - Liz M - is the best. Seriously. She was able to get me an appointment on the same day, and she is insanely helpful when it comes to things like insurance. I've been going to physical therapy for my shoulder since December, but the pain was so bad recently that I couldn't even go to my appointment this week. I went to see Dr. Chen today for an acupuncture treatment so that I could at least attend my next PT appointment without crying from excruciating pain. And oh, em, gee. So right when you think there is NO alternative to what's bringing you down..You have to go try this Doctor! It has been a while since my last visit however, I am still feeling great b/c of my treatments (approximately 8 consistent months). Amazing results & the office director who has to be one of top three nicest & most sincere people in C Bus makes you feel like family. Allergies had me sideways & I was literally out of immediate relief/ options. Dr. Chen does not sugar coat & I personally felt like his diagnosis & administration of acupuncture was a saving grace for my livelihood. I have been seeing Dr. Chen for around 8 years or possibly more. I was told by a Neurosurgeon that with my high pain level, he felt I'd be begging to have neck fusion surgery operation done within 6 months. I have degenerative disk disease and stenosis. I wasn't sleeping for 3 days at a time due to pain. The only way I could make the pain better is lift my left arm straight up. How I found out about Dr. Chen is I accidently walked into his office rather than Nong's Restaurant. I walked out and went to Nong's. I had tried Chiropracter, physical therapy, exercises, and pain meds and all treatments made things worse. I decided to have acupuncture and after first treatment, I started being able to sleep and did not have to put my arm in the air to relieve pain. It was amazing. It was a process that required more visits a month and tapered down to just once a month, except when I did something that aggravated back/neck like ride my motorcycle for 12 hours. I then started using Dr. Chen for boils, infections, remove my finger nails, and removed all skin tags from my body. He was so kind and gentle doing minor in office surgery. These things hurt, but he did a great job and the pain wasn't unbearable for long anyhow. I like the way he always get a culture to find which antibiotic is best for the infection and has a reasonable cost. This was great because it limited time of infections. He's done acupuncture on my back, neck, arm, for constipation, and diarrhea. Incredibly all treatments worked. Dr. Chen is now my primary care doctor too. He's great and kind. I've recommended him for years to many people and shared my story to 100's of people, which is not an inflated number. Went to Dr Chen to establish a primary care Doc and a general checkup. Office confirmed they accepted my insurance. Office coded my visit in such a way my insurance would not pay for the appointment. When I called the office my phone call was not returned. After calling again, I was told my I could not get a physical with an first visit. Therefore the office would not refile my bill and insurance would not cover it. Office staff was not helpful. Will not be going back. read more

Dr. Chen and his receptionist Liz are amazing! They are helpful and informative. He's definitely a thorough Dr. who takes his job and patient care seriously. Unlike other Dr. office visits-there's hardly ever a wait. If you do have to wait, it's because you can hear him traveling all over the office working diligently with his patients. Definitely a "far cry" from when you're at an appt. waiting and waiting while "hearing crickets." He has cured my insomnia, neck/muscle tensions and my knee and back pains. He does this by having me go once a week-not 3-4 times like a chiropractor would have without getting near the fantastic results. Never again will I take on a smug sense of superiority towards eastern medicial philosophy. He hasn't had to write one prescription-so imagine that-my ailments are being cured without running the risk of internal bleeding, homicidal/suicidal thoughts, cancer or sudden death! read more

Dr Chen is warm and caring, and really makes you feel hopeful about your health. After 3 other Drs and two specialists who gave me very little hope to save my vision. They recommended surgery because the medicines they gave me for 14 weeks did NOTHING. After 1 treatment from Dr Chen there was a marked difference- enough so the surgeon wants to delay two weeks to see what more I may recover with more treatments from Dr Chen.
