The doctors at Integra have really made a positive difference with my health through acupuncture treatments. I am impressed by the doctors' willingness to talk through my issues and apply the right treatments during my sessions. My energy has been boosted, my chronic 60yr old knee pain has gone and I like having knees that are decades younger. My lower back aches have also diminished drastically and my flexibility is improving. I believe that even without any ailments, that I will try to proceed with acupuncture as a form of preventative health management, that I will integrate with regular stretching and other wellness activities. Had a great massage here. Worked longer on problems or issues you may have. All staff if very friendly and the office is top notch. I really liked the fact that the masseuse was able to identify problems/issues and take steps to make you better. I have tight IT bands and have never been told that by a masseuse. I'm very active it really makes sense. Will surely be back for another session. read more

This was my first experience with acupuncture and I really didn't know what to expect. The staff are friendly and personable. The youngest "staff member" Melissa"s daughter even shared a homemade Asian dumping with me. Everyone was surprised that she remembered my name after meeting me for the first time only 30 minutes prior. And the dumping was very good, so this is still kind of a food review. :o) The office is relaxed and clean. The therapist spent time with me getting a profile of my exercise routine, type of work and general outlook on life. She noticed that I was sitting more erect than most and seemed a little stiff through my neck. Then she inserted about 14-20 needles in me from head to ankle. I literally only felt two of them go in, which surprised me. The process is fairly simple, you lay face down on a massage table and they pop a bunch of needles in your head, back, hips, legs, etc. Then you stay in that position for about 30 minutes. As I was lying there I felt this heat across my lower back and then it was spreading over my body. And I was thinking wow, this stuff is really working. I didn't expect to feel an immediate physical response, so I was getting excited about it. After 30 minutes she came back in and turned the heat lamp off and took out the needles. Yeah, the warmth was from the heat lamp not the needles nor the redistribution of my Chi. LOL Still in as little as 30 minutes I did feel some of the tightness in my neck and upper back. My mobility is a little better. Clearly one visit doesn't change your life, but I can see some benefit beyond my monthly massage. Some insurances will cover part or all of the visits, so it is worth checking with your provider. Being a fairly healthy person with a large deductible, I will not benefit from any insurance breaks. read more

I have been to a lot of acupuncturists through many years and several states and cities, and Melissa is top notch. She is intuitive, kind, quick, positive, and smart. The office works with insurance and makes it an easy process. They are professional and flexible (almost always get a convenient appointment). I can also choose to have a quick appointment or a longer, more relaxing appointment. They have many payment options or plans. Over all of the acupuncturists I have seen, I see they all have different styles, giftings, and interests. I look back, and I like my different acupuncturists for different reasons. However, one thing is acupuncture has always helped tweak my cycle if it gets out of kilter. Now Melissa eats, lives, and breathes fertility. It is her huge passion. I have long tracked my cycle and intimately know it. Over all of the acupuncturists I have seen, she was able to increase my luteal phase (2nd half of your cycle) to a more positive length. I saw her for half a year to prepare to TTC, and we got pregnant first cycle of TTC. Her positivity is invaluable through the stress of TTC and pregnancy. Too many negative people that have to put in their 2 cents of negativity surrounding TTC and pregnancy. (Another fertility acupuncturist in town told me several negative, stressful things and upset me!) She also stresses the importance of prenatal acupuncture, to protect against miscarriage, morning sickness, and generally keep one tuned up and in good condition. Lastly, acupuncture helps with stress reduction, invaluable always, but especially during TTC and pregnancy. If you are struggling with TTC or miscarriage, I urge you to give Integra a try. Give it a good try though. Please realize you have to give it time and many sessions. It isn't a one time cure, but with time it has amazing power over fertility and many other issues Western medicine has a hard time addressing. Although you don't have to abandon Western medicine either. Melissa loves to work with Western fertility specialists too. Please don't struggle with fertility alone! Know there is hope! I am completely disappointed in my service and cost of service here. I paid double the price of most places and Melissa has too many patients at once to give a customizable service. I went in for specific areas I needed focus on: hip, smoking and period cramps, and the first day, she said it would take 5 visits to see how my body reacts before I can get a proper treatment diagnosis...."Ok, that is going to cost a ton of money... I did not have and plan for that, but I decided it would be worth it because of my hip pain I have been dealing with over 2 years." The second appt. was 3 days later and she didn't remember me or even look at a chart to see why I was there. She said my neck was stiff and gave me a general treatment for balancing and something for my neck but that really wasn't bothering me and I only wanted relief for the other areas. She put the needles in, did not put the heat lamp on them, did not do the normal smoking points in the ear, nor anything for my hip or cramps, and never came back in the room to find out how I was feeling to apparently help this diagnosis I was already $300 in the hole at the second visit. The receptionist came in and took the needles out and I never even saw her that visit. I still feel ripped off for making that second appointment! I went to another acupuncturist that gave me a very personal, specific treatments and spoke with me before and after my treatment to see if the points were helping me. read more

Integra Acupuncture has been wonderful to work with on our journey with infertility! Dr. Yang and Dr. Takaoka are both extremely positive and supportive. Their skills with acupuncture and recommendations with herbal supplements, along with IVF and our infertility doctors, have been instrumental in helping us to conceive our two children! It's been an immense struggle to get pregnant and we are certain that, without their help, we would not have had the success that we have. They've helped in all aspects of infertility/IVF including improving egg quality for successful fertilization, recovery following egg retrieval, supporting embryo transfer, and managing my symptoms throughout pregnancy. Their office manager, Lih, is also wonderful. She keeps the office organized, helps in assisting with insurance claims, and is always friendly and welcoming. They are all passionate in what they do and confident in helping women conceive and carry their pregnancies. HIghly recommend! Reynoldsburg-Blacklick area has a great place for acupuncture with this company. I had an urgent need for acupuncture & really wanted an east side office instead of the one north of OSU Campus which I like but is difficult to find parking & is a small office (only 3 rooms) which makes getting an appointment challenging. I took a chance on this eastside practice & so glad I did. Had an upper back injury at the shoulder blade which was so bad I couldn't even sleep properly. I got the appointment same day I called. After Dr. Yang's 30 minute acupuncture-only treatment I was able to sleep very well that evening & the pain was reduced by about 85% by next day. I went back today, 2 days later for follow up, & just now realized that the pain has now disappeared! So grateful to Melissa! I think it is hard to argue for those who have had good acupuncture: it is truly superior to Western medicine when it comes to muscoskeleton injuries. I agree with Dr. Yang, that acupuncture should always be the 1st treatment one tries - because it works almost immediately. Dr. Yang has a great bedside manner & she clearly knows what's she is doing! With my 1st treatment, she explained the benefits of a holistic approach to acupuncture. She has been trained in both Tradition Chinese Medicine and is also an M.D. The one thing I find that sets her apart is the fact that she genuinely has a heart for what she does.
