Nichols is probably the best place I have ever played football (soccer) in the Buffalo area. The field is perfect. Unfortunately I have a very poor record here... in finals, I've always been on the losing side. Then again I've always been on the massive underdog team in finals, and it's a miracle that those teams have even made it to the final game... but yes, never won a trophy here. Nevertheless, thoroughly appreciate the surface and the facilities. I won't mention the guy that took me out here on this field and severely damaged my ankle. On purpose. That kind of thing is hard to forgive but what can you do. That's life.

I can't say enough great things about the Sylvan Learning Center in Buffalo/Williamsville. I had to…read moretake several appraisal tests in one day and reserved a room for seven hours straight. Unfortunately, SNAFU after SNAFU with the testing platform (none of it Sylvan's fault) meant I couldn't finish all of my exams that day. The manager went above and beyond to help me--opening the center early the next morning so I could complete the last few tests. There was even more behind-the-scenes drama with the curriculum provider that I won't share here, but every single time an issue popped up, the Sylvan team stepped up and found a solution. Their flexibility, professionalism, and commitment to customer success were outstanding. I highly recommend this location for any testing, tutoring, or learning needs. They truly care about the people they serve, and it shows.

I guess if parked at Attica Correctional and ask for directions I can write a Yelp review about how nicely paved it is and give 5 stars? Anyway since I wanted to write a review about how ECC actually is... I went here for my associates. I essentially didn't want to spend the $ I would at a regular university. Out of HS I remember all the "rumors" about how its basically 13th grade. That truly was not the case. The classes were very challenging and relevant to my major. The teachers all had actual experience in what they taught. Not to mention they were friendly and could actually speak clear English. I mention that because the university I went to for my bachelor's was not that way *cough UB cough*. You could actually meet with the teachers after class and not feel rushed. Some of them I even would have friendly conversations with. Classes were very clean and never had more than 30 people. Scheduling was always easy with many different time slots offered. Advisement could be reached fast. The cafeteria food was actually very good. They would always host events and have free lunch and goodies offered to students. And the best part was I saved a fortune by going here for my first two years of college.

Errant Community College is a school where everything is wrong. The students are wrong on every…read morepaper they turn in. The teachers are wrong to even attempt to school them. The board is wrong to engage in the devil-cult activities in the main offices on Wednesday nights at 10pm. And the local police are wrong to park all their damn vehicles here and give innocent people like me the willies every time we speed, I mean, drive past this campus. Luckily in truth, it's Erie, rather than Errant. It's a lovely modern campus with fantastic, lush soccer fields, located in one of the richest suburbs in the region. It's a much more boring campus than the haunting, impressive campus downtown. When my significant other (at the time) took classes here, I spent a lot of time here too. I even took a class with her myself, partly to not be bored, and partly because I found it interesting. The prices were so shockingly cheap (for American education standards) that it was heart-warmingly affordable. Education should be free, but ECC is close enough to free (depending on what you do) that most people can afford to do something here if they work at the same time. All of the professors I've had the pleasure of meeting, sitting in with, or taking a class under (4 or 5 of them total from all categories) have been very pleasant and interesting. This is very important at any education facility.

Always answer the phone, always answer on IM, the online BlackBoard website is nice and has an app. Plus one star for Library. Friendly staff. All new windows 8 computers and always some available. Unfortunately the hours on weekends and summers are very bad. When you're trying to actually learn this can be a great resource and it's terrible it isn't open more often. Minus one star for cutting back from late night courses. I had to arrange to leave work early to be there for the 5pm classes. Barely any are offered after 5pm which is a huge detriment to people looking for an education while working in a real job. Also, computer science doesn't qualify as a science elective?? Is this not the 21st century, it is one of the most important sciences. Many of my professors had worked or still worked at Niagara University, Canisius, and other great schools and have many accomplishments. ECC is a good school but they aren't working hard enough at assisting adults in receiving their education. We can't be at school all day. We need more night courses and better library hours.

Which was also a school. Gorgeous building inside and out, or inside access is now limited. They have a Boys and Girls Club that meets here every day after school, they have some bingo options, and they have some space to rent out if you're looking for space in town. I went here for 4 years. the treatment I got was horrible. they did nothing about me being bullied…read moreuntil my grandparents had to go in there and yell at them. the amount of religious trauma the students and staff gave me is unbelievable. i'd never wish this treatment on anyone. i'm queer and was told it's wrong and it made me hate myself years after going to this school. also the fact there was an openly racist teachers. i've been fed uncooked food. treated horribly by staff and disrespected by students and staff. my 3rd grade teacher called me a pig and I had to fear getting screamed at in my face because I don't know how to do a math problem. that woman should've never been a teacher. I shouldn't have been crying to my mom and HIDING. from her just because I don't want to go to school and how i'm scared on my teacher. one kid told his mom about how she was treating us and his mom was a lunch monitor and told her everything and she exploded on the class. also not to mention how I was treated after my house fire. I was in the choir and christmas play and was almost forced to show up to school when I was homeless. don't send your kid to any school associated with this place. please. i felt like I was in a cult. never again.
