After nearly 28 years with JPMorgan Chase, I recently ended my career at the Eagles Landing branch in Stockbridge, Georgia. Throughout my tenure I consistently showed up for my team and clients, including periods when the branch was short-staffed or when coworkers were on extended leave. Like many long-term employees in retail banking, I adapted to changing systems, product requirements, and sales expectations over the years. My decision to leave ultimately came down to a lack of transparency around compensation and performance communication. During a conversation regarding bereavement leave, I discovered that I had not received a raise, something that had not been communicated to me beforehand. After nearly three decades of service, learning about a compensation decision in that way was disappointing and unexpected. Employees dedicate years of loyalty to an organization and deserve clear communication about compensation decisions and performance evaluations. Transparency in these areas is essential to maintaining trust and morale among long-tenured staff. JPMorgan Chase is a large institution with strong resources and opportunities, but my experience highlights how important open communication and recognition of long-term employees can be within local branch environments. I have had a terrible experience with Chase. My mom left us an account already in a trust with my brother and myself as the successor trustees. The trust explicitly stated we were authorized to act independently and we had a trust amendment that also specifically provided for the trustees to act independently. I went in after she died and gave them all the documents and they copied them all and sent them to legal and then made both trustees get notaries also saying that I was an authorized trustee and could act independently. Now, 3 years later, I have finished all the estate work, and the account has a zero balance and I am trying to close it. They are saying I do not have the authority to close the account both at the local branch and at the corporate office. They have no records of any of the trust documents at the corporate level and the branch says they don't have the notarized forms. So now they are assessing charges on an account that has no money in it. It's actually kind of hilarious because I recorded both phone calls and the corporate office is telling me they have no documents and the branch guy is flipping through the documents and telling me what's missing. Doesn't give you much confidence in them as a bank and definitely not a great experience. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

This location is right around the corner from me. The door has been messed up for months, so no access to the ATM after hours.

Reliable branch. They have 2 ATMs with 24/7 access. They have full teller services during business hours. Some Chase locations have taken out the teller window. Great customer service and personal bankers have always been available when needed. I HATE the parking lot here. It's crowded, dirty and a ton of foot traffic. That said between security at the Publix and Chase, I feel completely safe and I can always find a parking spot. read more

Worst experience ever! I went to that branch Friday June 15, 2018 around 2:40pm EST (14:40). I am TV Producer, and I just started working for a show and my direct deposit was not setup yet. So that Friday, I got a live check from the company. I went in to cash my check. The teller DeAndre (he's slim built with glasses and according to his name tag he was saving up for a "new car") decided to put 11 day hold on my check for whatever reason. I remained calm and left. I then called Chase customer service line and I inquired about that 11 day hold and they told me that a teller at any branch can put a hold on anyone's check because it's up to their discretion. The customer service rep removed the hold because it nothing suspicious about my check. Worst experience because DeAndre was, playing with my money and my bills were due (automatic payments). Those funds would have been released June 26, 2018. -- I do not have an issue with that branch, just that teller. | Then he had the nerve to joke with my about the show I work. I am NOT going to laugh with anyone putting an 11 day hold on my payments. That's ludicrous! read more

Bank manager was very mean and hostile and unprofessional to me. I waited for 10 minutes while one teller served one customer . No one else was on the teller line and no one spoke to me or offered to help me.When I went to the teller window the customer who had tied up the teller said to me I have to wait until he steps aside. Very arbitrary and rude. The bank manager who was non-existent before rushed up and immediately took the side of the customer of his race. I doubt the recent reviews in favor of this manager. My past review was set aside by YELP as not recommended. But the majority of the reviews are negative. the customer service is vicious. read more

The bank itself is fine and has some nice people working in it. No complaints. Even though a line forms sometimes, it always moves quickly. However, parking here and driving through the shopping center is always an adventure. During business hours, it is ALWAYS busy and parking is sometimes hard to find. It is important to find parking right in front of the bank because there are always a lot of homeless people around. And not just any homeless people- crazy homeless people. I feel uncomfortable and unsafe walking long distances in this parking lot. Also expect people to just stop their cars right behind you and block you in. read more

This Chase branch in Midtown Atlanta is perfect access for GSU students as well as those who work in the area. There are 2 ATM's for your use. Located near Publix and Walgreens. Excellent and friendly customer service. Lots of parking options. Be sure to watch out for panhandlers. read more

This was my worst experience ever with banks, they changed me twice of account manager and one would ask different documents from the one before, finally and to make everything worse, after 6 weeks of using my bank account they just closed it from one day to the other (without warning) just because I didn't confirm my address with 2 different means of documentation and by fax. Worst of all I've sent that fax with the information requested. I can't trust this bank and as of today I don't know where my money is, it is not in the bank and should be sent via mail in a check to my home but never arrived. This bank is just terrible, this situation is unacceptable. read more

Their check printer was broken when I needed it the most. After several issues with chase, I'm ready to find another bank.

Had a phone meeting scheduled about a business account. Online it said they only do telephone meeting. I got a call from the person I was supposed to have the meeting with saying it is in person, only 1 hour before the meeting. I told them i had scheduled a phone call and he said ok. Thats it. This bank is nice and big, however it is not fully staffed there are empty desks and sometimes there could be a little bit of a wait. However everybody is very nice, specially David who helped us open two bank accounts. read more

Our HOA has an account here and I had to do some business. There was a list of folks needing to be helped. I waited around for a while and the branch manager came over to chat with me and told me that someone would be able to soon help me. However, the person ended up taking much longer with a customer than he expected, so the manager helped me out personally. He was very helpful getting our accounts switched over and getting me online access. I also deposited some checks, which was a breeze once I had the account number. read more

Come to open saving account to get promotion $200 for $15,000 but very quiet with 2 customer inside at this location, manager come to talk with me and said i have to wait for at least 1 hr too open account. This is the reason why you guys will go out of business... Very poor service read more

please be warned. Avoid this branch. the manager Mr Wheeler takes excessive action. 8/07/08 Mr Wheeler called the police and closed my account. Mr Wheeler asked me if I wanted him to call the police. I told him to call them if he wanted to. Mr Wheeler refused to let me deposit $6,400 after waiting 10 minutes while the only teller handled one customer. no one else was in the teller line for the first eight minutes I waited. and there was one other customer in the bank. No one asked me what I needed or anything. Using ATM would have been OK but nobody told me. I did use the ATM after I was refused teller service. A security guard was there since Mr Wheeler had called him. The security guard was sympathetic to me. as I was leaving the bank the police pulled up. I did not stay around. the next day I called Chase loss prevention and found out my account is being closed. I ask what the police did and was told to call Mr Wheeler. I tried to call Mr .Wheeler but a message comes on saying to call Chase's main number because all lines are busy. Also I have to call Loss Prevention back in 2 days to see about what will happen to my pension check because they might let me receive it instead of returning it to sender. read more

Very interesting conversation with a personal banker there. I came in to ask about a cc transfer. Very personable young lady, but a typical Millennial. Part of personal banking is making a connection, which she did. Both from the same hometown and other similarities. Fine. But when I mentioned that I was close to retirement and nervous about it, she said she didn't understand why "people my age" got themselves into this position. That people her age (Millenials) were much smarter than that and how she planned to stay with Chase only a few more years if she didn't make CEO. I also asked why there was not a wall clock in the bank (didn't have my phone handy and had a meeting that morning) and she said "corporate already thought of that - we don't need one". WOW. I could not say one thing that she didn't have a smart-aleck reply for. I think I will just do my transfer on line. read more

I bank here all the time because it is close to my apartment. I've never had a problem with quick transactions because the people who are behind the window are very helpful and always pleasant...even to the occasional "unsavory characters" who come through. My experience today, however, dropped them from a 4 star rating to a 2 star rating! All I wanted to do was open an account. Not only did I (and 2 others) wait nearly 30 minutes before even being greeted by the aimlessly wandering manager (Cecil George NMLS ID: 1259834), but I was shuttled back and forth between offices because he supposedly couldn't open accounts. Also, my wait was extended when this same branch manager decided to have a whole conversation with another guest while in the middle of my transaction. Finally, after getting the account opened by the other representative, he would not take my check because...you guessed it...said branch manager told him it needed to be endorsed by the other parties on the check. It was a company check made out to me! The "other parties" were THE MAILING ADDRESS!!! I was floored when he told me "that is not how I am reading it." Apparently, even the illiterate can be branch managers for Chase. Immediately closed the account, signed the check at his desk and deposited it (like I have with every other company check) into my personal account via the ATM. I'm so frustrated I could scream. Contrary to other reviews, I find Cecil George at the Midtown location of Chase Bank to be insufferable at best! read more
