Closest bank to my house, but sadly the few times I've been in they've been swamped and seem understaffed. The last Chase Bank I dealt with (in San Diego) I made friends with multiple employees who I still talk to after the move. Chairs, carpets, countertops are FILTHY. Staff is extremely inattentive. The line is very long. There are at least 4 employees who are not dealing with customers, only 1 teller at the window. Walking in here you get the sense that this establishment is very poorly run and it's going to be a long wait. read more

ooh 2 drive up atms! There wasn't anyone else in line on a Monday and with 2 drive up ATMs it should have been fast and easy to deposit my checks. That is where my excitement ended! You can deposit multiple checks at a time normally however, when I put my 3 checks in it kept spitting out the other 2 and saying some of the checks weren't accepted. I had to individually put them in and go through all the screens and re-input my pin each time. This turned into a project. Then it asked me if I would like to print a receipt with pictures of my checks deposited on it and of course I hit yes. Well, I think the machine was out of paper because it didn't print and then I went through the screen to do a balance and transaction history print and that didn't print either. I really love banking with Chase and I have never had these types of problems with any other ATM that I have used so, maybe it is just this location. If you offer convenience options like depositing multiple checks at once then it should work otherwise it just becomes inconvenient. read more

Let me preface this review with I used to work for Chase Bank. I was only here at the location for less than a year, and with the company for over four and half years total. But, this review is to discuss what customers don't know or have misconceptions about. ONLINE BANKING As far as online banking goes, what a banker/manager can do for you is to show you how to access and use Quickpay, send/receive transfers, print statements from your account(s), and retrieve your user ID. What they can do is help you reset your password, but cannot access a previous password. Why? Because of privacy issues, within the branch they do not have access to that sensitive info, AND anything that they cannot fix regarding to your online banking is done in a different department that we have to call while you're in the branch because it is internal only. ATM's This branch in particular used to be Bank One before it was bought out by Chase. Because of the old structure & layout of the branch, there is no walk up ATM. Another reviewer said that this branch is in a walking friendly neighborhood. Yes, that is the case NOW, but this branch is old and that was not the case when it was originally built, hence why there is no vestibule or ATM located outside in front of the branch. Higher management used to tell us as employees that in order to place an ATM in either location (being inside or outside in the front of the branch), major construction was needed to wire and secure a machine properly. How much of that is true? I don't know, but what I do know is that even as a (former) employee, I agree with customers 100% that an ATM is needed in a more convenient location. As for the two drive up ATM's, at the branch level we do not service them. It is done through a third-party vendor. Normally if you have an issue with your transaction at the ATM, the 1-800 number on the receipt is who you have to call. We have no authority or access to any transactions done through the ATM. Plus, on more than one occasion there is some person who is trying to deposit wrinkled and torn bills into the ATM all at once, and just as courtesy please don't do that. That's what makes the machines break down, the same goes for checks. WITHDRAWALS & DEPOSITS Now, the cash deposits with ID is silly, but we needed them to deposit the transaction because of rampant money laundering last year. This is for every account that this type of policy change has applied to. I understand that it's silly, but remember you are yelling at the messenger. We have no say-so in policies and procedures, so for customers to yell at us for something that we don't control....it's a waste of your breath to be honest. In order for us to make the deposit we have to swipe your ID, or have the physical copy in hand with a valid expiration date. As for withdrawals, normally if you are going in to take out more than $5K, I would suggest asking tellers if they have the cash available because we have a limit to how much we keep available. Even better, if you are taking out more than $5K on up then I would call the branch. This branch deals with high traffic volumes, and we always had to take into consideration how much cash was going in and out. Hence, why I say it would be preferable to call ahead of time when needing cash. Businesses, if you need lots of change, like cases of coin or straps of certain denominations, also please call ahead. This makes your visit quick and we can be prepared for when you come in. Also, if you go in there without an ID to make a withdrawal, no we cannot help you. If someone KNOWS you, meaning that you know THEM by first name basis, and they can vouch for you by knowing info about you to pull it up to make the withdrawal/deposit, then no one can actually "know" you. BTW I've seen this way too often, if you need to purchase a cashiers check from your account, please fill out a withdrawal form. This cuts down on discrepancies, it speeds up the time you are there, and overall is what we need to purchase it for you. Rozeanne J. - I know that you wrote your review a while ago, but this branch is Spanish designated. We have more signs in Spanish because that is the majority of our clientele at the branch. I cannot implore enough to anyone who is reading this, if you need to run a transaction and you do not have a slip filled out please make the effort to fill out as much as you can. Whatever else you do not know we can pull it up for, but by doing this you save yourself and us time and minimize inconsistencies. Last note, they understaffed this branch big time. So don't expect on the 1st through 3rd (when social security is issued the branch line is out the branch doors), the 15th and at the end of every month to get in and out quickly. If you need to make a simple transaction please use the ATM or picture deposits on your phone. This makes the minutiae of working there that much less painful read more

EVERY SIGN IS IN SPANISH. This is USA not Mexico! I don't complain when I visit Mexico and all signs are in Spanish because that is the native language. BUT WE SPEAK ENGLISH IN THE U.S.! Change the signs or have one of each in both languages! read more

I've been pretty bummed since Washington Mutual was purchased by Chase. But, I've sucked it up and said nothing. For the most part I can use Chase ATM's for all of my transactions. I can take it no more though...Chase you are horrible. This branch is within walking distance of my apartment but doesn't even have a walk-up ATM. The have a drive through ATM, but not a walk up. This is in a walking neighborhood on East 7th. No walk-up ATM, really. Inside the branch, they have zombies that work there. No smile, no personalty. Oh, and if you don't speak Spanish you might be in trouble. I sure hope I don't get hit by a car while waiting in line for the ATM. If you have to use a Chase I would advise against this one. read more

Dealing with Chase and this branch has been like Chinese water torture, a steady stream of incompetence, mistakes, and customer disservice. There was not one huge problem, it's just that they'd charge an account fee when they said one wouldn't be charged, they'd miff up my password so I couldn't get money out of the ATM, they'd have insane policies that would make things far more difficult than they should be, etc., etc., etc. The place is for the most part pretty provincial in regards to the service provided. I'd suggest that you stay away from this branch and Chase in general and go somewhere else in support of professionalism and quality service. read more

Listen how crazy this is, I went to the teller window with two $100 bills all I was asking for was for (4) 50s and I said I have two credit cards with your bank I've been a customer a long time. they asked for my ID and my credit card and after a little wait they came back and said all they could authorize was given me change for one of the 100's because they ran my credit card which still has a lot of credit on it but for some reason their system will not let them give me change for the other 100.00. You know I could've went to H-E-B for change but this is my bank. the girl was very nice but the system would not let her help me and that's very sad read more

Great neighborhood bank. They are always helpful whether it is notary service or other quick items. I normally use the drive through but stop in for more complex transactions. Free coffee and treats always help if there is a wait. read more
