This branch in particular is really classy if you can imagine a bank being upscale and classy... they are extremely friendly and even gave my 3 year son son Huntington goodies while we waited for a banker. Overall my experience was great and I go to the branch more than the one near my job, parking is also never a problem. The banker at the front name Allison is a joy to bank with!

I kept my accounts until moving 10 hours away in 2023. I recently had them transfer my IRA to a bank where I now live. After they transferred it, my new bank informs me that Comerica kept $50.00 of my money for a transfer fee. Outraged, I called the manager of the Bloomfield Hills, MI branch (on Woodward Ave.). He claims that it was in the fine print when I opened the account but I do not believe that. He then said to me would you have still transferred the account if I had called you and told you about the fee? I said I don't know but I'd have thought about it as I'm in metro Detroit about twice a year. Then he said that I could have taken the money out in person and avoided the transfer fee. Well, I had gone to a different Comerica branch, at 14 Mile and Woodward Ave., before moving and asked a manager there how to transfer it. She looked a lot of stuff up on the computer and ultimately told me, with my lawyer husband as witness, that she didn't know how to do it and to ask at a bank in the town I moving to. So, if she had given me the correct information the bank would not have, in my opinion, stolen $50.00 of my money. And, I was just in metro Detroit for other business so, once again it could have been done in person. The next thing Jeff said was well we did pay the FedEx fee for sending you the paperwork. No. I paid the FedEx fee and the difference between that fee and $50.00 is the amount of my money that Comerica Bank did not return to me. I believe that one definition of not returning is stealing. I wish I could give zero stars as one is, in my opinion, too high.

If the woman behind the counter wasn't so nice when I finally got up to see her I would have given only 1 star, but her demeanor pushed the star level up one notch. Avoid this spot if you have to use the tellers. DO come if you have to do something more involved with one of their knowledgeable specialists.

I spoke to Lawrence who was unbelievably rude to my father and I. He acted as if we knew absolutely nothing about banking and wouldn't even explain to me what he was doing to my accounts. He insulted my intelligence because I was a woman on the younger side who "didn't know a thing about money". To top it off he completely messed up my accounts and got them locked and didn't even add my phone number and address to them. I had no access to my money or account and had to sit on the phone with customer service for 2 HOURS! Now I have to return to citizens and undo all of the things Lawrence messed up, I don't even have a debit or ATM card.

I deposited a check via the CUs iPhone app - and they rejected the check because I didn't write the words "deposit into checking" on the back of the check. We were unable to recover the money. Even though I was registered as co-owner on the account, they made it difficult to get information. The website is terrible. You can't go pull up old transactions. They charge a monthly service fee. And the topper, when my father passed, they said they couldn't keep a trust account open and simply shut-off the account completely, and mailed me a check for the proceeds. I had to scramble and figure out new bill pay and auto pay arrangements for utilities, the city, phone bills, security, and on and on. What a crap organization. You're better off with Comerica or a well run brokerage like Fidelity or Schwab. Don't put your money with these clowns.
