We had to fill out a mailed, paper form, which we did, and of course it was never processed. A "late payment" and fee later, we did it again. Still not processed. Finally, they upgraded their system to 2002 so that you could at least schedule a number of payments in advance - still cannot do a proper autopay. Now, my 94 yr old grandmother has been charged 2 more late pays and fees without even knowing her payment hadn't posted. I can only assume they have such a regressive system for just such collateral "gains," since even the taco truck down the road can figure out how to work the internet with regard to payments. Really, it's like dealing with a poorly organized bake sale and a petty cash box. Doesn't exactly inspire one with confidence about their financial competency. I can't decide if they are more pathetic or despicable.

I had been to all the the other banks in town and they had a rule that you had to be in the state for at least 30 days before you could open an account. All except 5/3rd. I opened an account, and used it a lot. In all that time I have never been charged a fee for using the ATM or for the maintenance of my account. Every concern has been answered and dealt with in a professional manner. When I left Ohio for Michigan I was sad because I was leaving my bank behind. Not really knowing that they began banking operations in Michigan, I went to Flagstar and got the crappiest service of my life. Happily, I discovered this branch while out doing an errand. I needed a notary for my taxi driver app. I knew that my bank would come through for me, and they did. Even though my account had been closed for non activity, they were happy to notarize my app, and needing a second endorsement, they were happy to notarize for my friend, even though she doesnt bank there. I will use them again and again. Some people may have a problem with them, but I don't. They are nice and hopefully they will become more prevalent and become part of the Michigan community.

It deliberately refused to transfer my own money in my account even after checking my identity by 5 or 6 different ways and then told me that it wasn't them that refused the transfer of my money for online transaction but it was the merchant that never even initiated the process. They said t" they do not see any transaction". I tried the same process twice more and each time they told me that they do not see any transaction coming their way. The reason I see is that the merchant was a foreign entity. That means they were refusing to transfer my own money from my bank account at my own risk at my own derision in spite of checking identity 5 or 6 different ways 3 times! Finally, I initiated the transaction with another bank using my card for line of credit and that bank had no problem transferring money immediately. They did not pretend that they "do not see any transaction". They sent the money four more times in the following week immediately as needed. This is in spite of the fact that it was the line of credit money not the money stocked up in my account like in the case of Huntington Bank. Huntington Bank, please don't lie to the customers.

I did not take any of the money out but before I put the check in I tried to get it verified and could not. And because it was not a real check they closed my account that was not overdrawn. But no one can explain why and give an good answer to it. And no one tried to help with the check before hand when I asked the teller can the check be verified.
