Banks are banks but they are becoming less useful these days especially during the current pandemic. Hours of operation have been drastically reduced and access to one's money had been even more difficult to access. I would not recommend this chase bank for any business or personal needs. I've been a member with chase for almost 10 years now and I've never had any pushback or confusion from tellers before like you typically do at Wells Fargo for any little reason. That's why I bank with Chase, but today was different. It not only took over 10 minutes for the teller to deposit my checks but was asking multiple other tellers if they were valid. They flagged one of the checks even though I was depositing another check from that same person. Have never had an issue depositing company checks for over 4 years, but today felt like I was at a Wells Fargo. I would not return here. read more

I would give ZERO stars, but Yelp made me give one. The disrespect and lack of customer service from the manager at this location, Christy O'Reilly is unacceptable. She possesses no customer service skills. She not only was condescending and disrespectful to me, but she also was extremely rude to a senior gentleman who left without being able to conduct his business. After she was finished arguing with him, she stomps over to her colleagues as if she was proud of herself. Unprofessional does not fully describe this person. Chase needs to realize how they are being represented and how their customers are being treated. Remember toxicity at the top spreads to all under that person quickly. Do better Chase! Very unprofessional!!!!!!! The banker had me waiting for 45 minutes before he actually helped me and then said if he can't finish in 20 minutes he'd have to kick me out and take his next appointment. He said he wasn't prepared for how long it was going to take. This bank is very bad I'd go to every other chase before I step foot in this one! read more

Easily the worst branch in North County. These people are unbearable - don't waste your time calling to seek out information regarding appointments because they will tell you that you do not need one and then when you show up they will say oh we have a policy where you can only deposit 5 savings bonds a day and then blame it on short staffing (meanwhile one guy is not even helping customers and there's 4 customers total in the branch). I show up at 4:15 to deposit my bonds and they tell me oh sorry only 5 per day. I go down the street to the El Norte branch and they deposit ALL my bonds within 15 minutes. This Bank is a dump. Their corporate offices should be appalled. Nothing works here. Tried to make a deposit at inside ATM but their key pads don't work at the door to give me entrance . The drive up ATMs on the side of bank are falling apart with plastic framing hanging off. Don't feel too safe putting cash in. After I did put it in it kept spinning and then spit it all back out. Had to enter it in with 5 bills each time even though it said it takes 30. Ugh!! The keypad is disgusting and so low I had to open my door and hang out of my car to enter my pin. Never been as concerned with community institutions as I was today in Escondido California. While talking with a gentleman outside of a Chase bank the Branch Manager Greg Lawrence NMLS ID: 667925 decides to embarrassingly make his way outside to tell us that we were "bothering his clients", clients that were inside of a building we could not even see inside for that matter. Sometimes people miss opportunities as they see you only for what they fear and not who you really are. Only office in Escondido so it understandable that it will be busy. But, waiting 60 minutes for a banker to do a simple wire transfer is pretty ridiculous. And this has been the case for all my visits to the bank. There's no doubt banks are pushing people to on-line banking, and I do like the Chase on-line experience, but sometimes you have to visit the bank. Please hire more bankers, or extend online offerings so we don't have to spend valuable time here. One banker working this day! Went in to open a joint account in Wells Fargo and they said I had to make an appointment which they were just sitting around putting make up. So I went to the chase next door and the banker Herbert Perez attended us without an appointment and i am now a chase customer. Great customer service and they were 30 minutes from closing. My big day came where I could close my Ca Coast Credit Union account. I headed around to banks. I had checked online too. I went to chase. The glass stalls were empty. This is where I am accustomed to opening a checking/saving. I stood in line to ask a teller. he looked over to the nice offices in glass. No one. He called for someone. I waited. I waited. 3 Hispanic girls might have been 4, came from the back giggling and chatting. They crossed the floor to one of the nice glass offices. Where the 3 of them continued giggling and talking. The guy looked embarrassed. As we both looked at them. He said let me call again. I said no thanks. This is not where I want my money. I added to our conversation this offensive. In this bank these girls have no supervision or the supervisor is as ignorant, taking advantage of being paid to do nothing but giggle. I am no doormat. I speak up. You can call about 16 times through out the day and have not one caller pick up the phone. It is pretty tragic and funny.

Laughing at the lazy people who gave bad ratings about thing not offered, like a drive through ATM. Well, I will rate the things they do have. Great ATM machines right in the door. The door is locked at night and you can only get in with your chase card. Makes me feel safe. They tellers have been extremely friendly each and every time I have come in. Just as another reviewer stated: They removed all but 2 teller windows. As I was in line, one of the tellers closed their window leaving but one teller. Even though the line was short, I still waited at least 15 minutes. There have been times where I waited a HALF HOUR just to make a deposit. I have actually left this branch and drove clear across town to the other branch because of the frustration. $50K on deposit and earning a measly 50 cents interest a month is bad enough; but making customers wait such a long time only adds insult to injury... read more

PLEASE don't do business with CHASE! Bank of America maybe, not chase. I gave a check for $27,000 to a vendor to build a fence for my ranch. it cleared my account next day. They put a 10 day hold on the check, and I don't know why. They held my $27,401 for over 10 days and prevented my vendor from building my fence. THey are terrible awful people and don't deserve my money or your money. Think twice before dealing with a bank that withholds funds for elongated periods of time. 10 day hold on a good check is ridiculous especially because it cleared my account with Bank of America next day. I do so HATE THIS BANK. I wouldn't bank there if you paid me. Pathetic. read more

This chase bank does not have a drive up atm, Instead they have a drive through teller service, but are very slow. They don't usually great you right away to tell you that it will be a minute. You just have to wait. They made me wait 10 minutes. I kept thinking if I leave now, thats when they'll come up. I had my dog in the car, i didnt want to park and walk in. This is a bad branch. They should not have made a drive up atm if they can't keep up. I don't like the customer service here. They have the most easy to find branches and atms. I wouldn't go to this one if I knew another was close by. I usually go to the one near center city pkwy for this reason. read more

This is the short school bus of the Chase Bank Chain. Constant smell of raw sewage greets you at the door. Do not go within a one hour of the 1:00 wire deadline doing it form home turned out to be faster. Today it was please take out 2330 dollars from an outside account and deposit 2230 in my checking. First she took out 2230 from the outside account then tried to tell me my 100.00 was cash back. It was not. It was one transaction to remove 2330 from one account. Then give me 100 and deposit the rest in checking. It took 10 minutes to explain it was not cash back and have her do the transaction correctly putting the line out the door. It takes alot for me to actually take the time to write a negative review. read more

Spent an hour just to change a PIN at this branch. Helpful suggestions by management were tips like, "We're not the only branch. You could have gone elsewhere." WTF- is this not the first thing you learn in customer service? That you don't want them to go elsewhere. Line was long. They put up a poster covering 4 of the tellers windows. I bank at both BofA and Chase. Last weekend I had to cash a check I went to BofA first thing in the am and their line was out the door. Literally out the door. So I drove across the street to chase and they had 0 people in line. It was GREAT. The bad thing (as the others have said) there isnt a drive thru, so I have to get my lazy bum out of my car. Ive banked at First Northern Bank and Wells Fargo and i can say Chase is my favorite bank. I didn't care for switching until Wells Fargo started to treat me like straight shhhhhhh and i refuse to give or put money in a place that doesn't deserve it. I have not once waited in line at Chase and YES i have been in at all different times. i also like the ice cold water they provide along with coffee and candy! I had an issue with my checking account so I stopped in to this location around 330p on a Friday. It was very busy. Melissa greeted me as I walked in and directed me to the waiting area. I waited less than 5 minutes to be assisted. I explained my situation to her and she resolved the issue. She printed a new card for me quickly. My cousin and I went into my local Chase bank to open a simple checking account and were seated in the lobby and waited to be attended to. The service representative ignored us and addressed another set of customers who had arrived after we had been sitting there waiting. So we sat and waited 20 minutes until she finished taking care of the customers and finally acknowledged us after they left. The process to open my cousin's account was for some reason taking another 20 minutes to establish. When I asked her about the wait she bluntly tells me that this was the amount of time it takes,to which I responded "I think we could of been further in the process if you hadn't skipped us to attend to the customers behind us." She replies with "You're right." Then starts talking down to my cousin like he was criminal, referencing the patriot act and Chase bank's policies and how her conduct of business was justified in educating us since we appeared ignorant of how the banking process works. I told her that this was not a good start in customer relations talking to us this way. To which she replied by saying we could wait outside. I have never been treated so unprofessionally and disrespectfully by any representative of Chase bank and would not let her continue to work at that branch if she is going to discriminate against certain customers and be a poor reflection of Chase bank as a company. read more
