I explained what I needed, why a bank statement wouldn't work, and provided an example from another bank. BoA's process is to send documentation requests to a back office group that has standarized templates. The person I spoke to at the branch didn't know what would be sent to me. I was sent many iterations of form letters than I was clear upfront wouldn't work and had to wait 1 week each time to know what they sent me was what I said I didn't need. Not sure if the issue is this branch or BoA process inflexibility. But when the issue was escalated to a manager and then the branch manager it made no difference. Very disappointing experience.

But I like this bank, my little local B of A branch, better than most for a few reasons, staying away from the big ole philosophical reasons of banks being crooks etc! + 1 Star - My USAirways Visa/Debit card. Yes, debit. Ok, so I only get 1 point for every $2 spent - and it has to be as "Credit" at a merchant, not "debit" and it also doesn't count for ATM withdrawals or any other sneaky point-increasing thought that you might have had ;) But as opposed to those bastards at the evil Chase bank (not the employees - they are nice - the evil policy-makers!) who took away their points debit card, this is a points card for those of us who don't want to use a damn credit card! But I digress.... Back to the specifics of this branch: + 1 Star - EZ In-N-Out Parking Lot. B of A usually pretty rich on the ole parking spots anyhow, but this lot has two entrances - one on Catalina and one Carnelian, and that makes me happy especially cause to get back onto Catalina going southbound, I need to go from Carnelian and make a left. And there's a light! Woohoo! Oh, and there are spots on the street, too, at Carnelian (which is the side of the bank entrance) if you are too lazy to walk the 20 feet from the lot. + 1 Star - 4 ATMs. I think. I am having a brain fade, here on my cozy sofa while I write this review, but I am pretty dang sure that these guys have 4 machines. Or at least 3. Point being - lots o machines. - 1 Star - ATMs. I dislike that the B of A machines keep your card until the transaction is over. That's perfect for dummies like me to leave our cards behind. Argh! But that's not this branch's fault, so I don't really count that off. + 1 Star - No nasty bullet proof glass. I know, that's probably something that they don't want to advertise to the burglars, but since the cop station is literally the other side of the building (between Carnelian and Diamond), it's a sure thing that this place is pretty safe from the ole hold up dudes. It's just so much nicer to talk face-to-face to the tellers (if you have to go inside). I hate that glass! + 1 Star - Nice people working here. I know, they are bank tellers/managers, so of course they want to be nice to keep your money. But I feel like the people here are really just nice ladies (I have only talked to ladies here! Sorry dudes!) and that makes it a nice place to come. Also, when I don't fill out my (stupid) deposit form correctly, they don't make me do it over - as opposed to some other banks - they help me out and do it. Nice ladies. I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding a severe customer service issue I experienced…read morethis morning, September 2, around 8:20 AM at your branch. My debit card became stuck in the ATM machine outside your building. While standing outside on hold with the customer support number displayed on the ATM, I saw an employee named Aracely opening the front doors. I approached her and asked for assistance nicely. Although I understand the branch does not open until 9:00 AM, her response was completely unacceptable. She walked away quickly, shouted, "I can't talk to you right now," and slammed the door hard in my face. Her behavior was extremely rude, unprofessional, and dehumanizing. Even if the branch was not open yet, she could have communicated that politely rather than slamming the door on a customer in distress. Shortly afterward, another employee--a blonde woman--was much more helpful and professional. She spoke to me through the door, explained their morning procedures politely, and later came outside to speak with me directly while I was still on hold with corporate support. Having worked over 15 years in financial services at a credit union, I hold customer service to high standards and would never treat a customer with such disrespect. I strongly urge management to review this incident and address Aracely's conduct, as it reflects very poorly on your institution.

My elderly mother has a sizable account, so we do get the private client treatment at every branch, but other branches had been just okay. The bankers at this branch had been able to seamlessly take care of some important account updates we needed (and were unable to get done at another branch) AND convinced my elderly mother, who was uncomfortable with any investments other than CDs, to open an investment account for the first time.
